Postponed 'Vietnamese Rice Noodle Festival - Delicious Dishes from Vermicelli 2025' due to storms

On the afternoon of October 8, the Organizing Committee of the 1st “Vietnamese Rice Noodle Festival - Delicious Dishes from Vermicelli” in 2025 issued an urgent notice about postponing the event due to the impact of bad weather and widespread storms. The event is scheduled to be re-organized in November, still maintaining the same scale, content and benefits of the participating parties.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association, the event “Vietnamese Rice Flour Festival - Delicious Dishes from Vermicelli 2025” was originally scheduled to take place from October 16 to 19 at September 23 Park. However, due to the impact of prolonged storms and rain, the organizers decided to postpone the event to November 20 to 23, 2025.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Khanh, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association, Head of the festival's organizing committee, said that the decision to postpone the date was to ensure safety and convenience because many partners and units from the North and Central regions were directly affected by storms, while Ho Chi Minh City was also affected by bad weather. The organizing committee hopes that the Vietnamese Rice Flour Festival will not only be a meaningful culinary and cultural event but also a safe and friendly destination, contributing to honoring the value of traditional Vietnamese agricultural products.

According to the Organizing Committee, with the theme "Delicious dishes from vermicelli", the festival will take visitors on a journey to discover a variety of famous vermicelli dishes across the country such as Hanoi vermicelli with grilled pork, Hai Phong perch vermicelli, Hue beef vermicelli, crab vermicelli, Can Tho vermicelli with fish sauce, Soc Trang vermicelli with broth , Nha Trang vermicelli with fish... In addition, many dishes made from rice noodles such as pho, hu tieu, banh hoi, banh tam will also be introduced, contributing to sketching a comprehensive picture of Vietnamese culinary culture.

This event is expected to gather from 100 to 150 booths, introducing flour products, rice noodles, fresh vermicelli, processed spices and many special side dishes. In addition to enjoying the cuisine, visitors can learn about the traditional rice noodle production process, interact with artisans, participate in vermicelli making activities or shop for souvenirs. In addition, there will also be a performance to set the record of "100 delicious dishes from rice noodles", the contest "Raising Rice Noodles"...
