Japanese Crown Prince feeds fish in Uncle Ho's stilt house relic

(Dan Tri) - Japanese Crown Prince Akishino and Princess Kiko have begun activities during their official visit to Vietnam.

At the invitation of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Crown Prince Akishino of Japan and Princess Kiko paid an official visit to Vietnam from September 20 to September 25.

Early morning on September 21, Japanese Crown Prince Akishino and Princess Kiko visited President Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum.

Japanese Crown Prince Akishino offered a wreath to pay respect to the great leader of the Vietnamese people.

Immediately afterwards, at the Presidential Palace, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan presided over the official welcoming ceremony for Japanese Crown Prince Akishino and Princess Kiko on their official visit to Vietnam.

This is the first official foreign visit of Crown Prince Akishino and the Princess after the Covid-19 pandemic, and also the first visit to Vietnam by the Japanese Royal Family after 6 years since the visit of the King and Queen of Japan in 2017.

The talks took place after the official welcoming ceremony.

The Vietnam-Japan Extensive Strategic Partnership has developed strongly and comprehensively in recent years, with a high level of political trust. High-level exchanges and contacts at all levels and channels have been vibrant. Senior leaders of the two countries have maintained regular visits and contacts at international and regional forums.

Currently, Japan is the largest provider of official development assistance (ODA), second in labor cooperation, third in investment and tourism, and fourth in trade with Vietnam.

Cooperation in other areas such as defense, security, health, agriculture, science and technology, digital transformation, education and training, climate change response, etc. has been actively implemented. The two sides are closely and effectively coordinating and supporting each other at multilateral forums and on international and regional issues of mutual concern.
