Thanh Hoa students return to school from August 29

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - The first day of school for preschool, general education, and continuing education in Thanh Hoa province is August 29, 2025; for grades 1, 9, and 12, the first day of school is August 25, 2025.

Students in Thanh Hoa province will return to school from August 29.

On August 23, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province issued the 2025-2026 school year schedule plan for preschool education , general education and continuing education in Thanh Hoa province.

Accordingly, the school opening day for preschool, general education, and continuing education is August 29, 2025; for grades 1, 9, and 12, the school opening day is August 25, 2025.

Thanh Hoa province requires educational institutions to proactively prepare facilities and necessary conditions for the new school year and the opening day of the 2025-2026 school year. From the first day of school until before the opening day, educational institutions must stabilize teaching and learning; consolidate old knowledge, organize re-tests and evaluate the results of summer training for students (if any).

According to the plan, the opening day and the start of semester I is September 5, 2025. The end day of semester I is January 10, 2026.

Semester II starts from January 12, 2026 and ends (completing the teaching and learning plan) before May 25, 2026.

Before May 31, 2026, the end of the 2025-2026 school year.

The actual number of study weeks for preschool education, general education and continuing education in the 2025-2026 school year is 35 weeks (semester I has 18 weeks, semester II has 17 weeks).

Time for considering recognition of completion of primary school program and considering recognition of graduation from secondary school before June 30, 2026.
