Khanh Hoa Provincial Lawyers Association summarizes work in 2023

At the conference, Mr. Le Xuan Than, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial Lawyers Association, reported on the work in 2023 and the direction and tasks in 2024.

Accordingly, currently, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Bar Association has about 550 members. In 2023, the Provincial Association and all levels of associations and members organized, coordinated, and participated in organizing many conferences, seminars, discussions, and dialogues in many forms, directly and online, to contribute opinions to draft legal documents, regimes, policies, directives, projects, etc. of the locality.

At the same time, participate in reviewing, examining, evaluating the situation, contributing to the implementation of resolutions, decisions, projects, recommendations, directions for settlement and advantages, difficulties, obstacles, inadequacies... in the process of applying and implementing Laws, Resolutions of the People's Council, and Decisions of the People's Committee.

The Provincial Association has organized many forms such as Morning Coffee with Lawyer Le Xuan Than, in collaboration with many organizations such as the Real Estate Brokerage Association... to talk about legal topics with the participation of many people and businesses. Participated in many seminars on the topics of land law, housing, real estate business...

In addition, the Provincial Association and all levels of the association have done a good job of disseminating and educating the law, publishing many news articles and topics on the unit's website, specialized magazines, and issuing many publications and documents to propagate the law in many forms to a large number of people, workers, and ethnic minorities in remote and isolated areas...

It can be affirmed that the work of disseminating the law to communes, wards and towns is the strength of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Bar Association, especially through the activities of members of the Provincial Bar Association who are collaborating at the Provincial Legal Consulting Center.

At the same time, the Association at all levels has implemented well the activities in the program in coordination with agencies, departments and branches; carried out well the work of propagating the law in enterprises, university students... The Provincial Association has promoted the role and responsibility of members in units directly performing the tasks of legal consultancy, legal aid, consulting on complaint settlement at the grassroots level, and solving many legal problems of people and cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers.

Members working in different fields have promoted their roles and responsibilities in coordinating and participating in many inspection and supervision delegations in various fields of judicial reform; reviewing administrative reform procedures, implementing the one-stop mechanism; supervising law enforcement; and supervising and providing social criticism.

The association at all levels and branches have actively participated in mediation at the grassroots level upon request, resolving many complicated cases in the locality. The provincial association has participated in many conferences of the Provincial People's Committee on resolving complaints and denunciations, participated in the advisory council, professional council of the provincial front and a number of departments, branches, and sectors... with good quality and reputation.

The Provincial Association organized 3 classes to disseminate and foster knowledge of the new law recently passed by the National Assembly for association officials. At the same time, it implemented resolutions of the Party, the National Assembly, the Prime Minister, the Provincial Party Committee - Provincial People's Committee on the implementation of Directive No. 14 of the Politburo . Implemented the request to issue membership cards to 30 cases and after the decision was made, admitted members.

In 2023, as Deputy Head of the Emulation Cluster of the Central Coastal and Central Highlands provinces, Khanh Hoa Provincial Lawyers Association has fulfilled the emulation covenant well...

In addition to the achieved results, the association's work still has some difficulties and problems, such as the construction and implementation of work plans and emulation movements in some association units, which are sometimes passive, confused, and formalistic. The living regime, operating regulations, information and reporting work have not been guaranteed to be timely, clear, and accurate.

At the same time, the organization of the association is still slow, although the work of developing members has been focused, the number is still limited; many units have not actively made membership cards. Most district-level associations still have many difficulties in terms of funding, headquarters, working facilities and specialized staff...

In 2024, the associations and branches will hold congresses for the 2024-2029 term. The congress of the Provincial Bar Association is expected to be held in July 2024.

At the conference, delegates agreed on the summary report of work in 2023 and the direction and tasks for 2024; launched the emulation movement in 2024. In addition, they exchanged opinions on a number of issues that need to be resolved such as the reporting work of some units is still slow, limitations need to be overcome; Nha Trang City Lawyers Association has difficulties with working headquarters; slow organization consolidation...

In 2023, the Vietnam Bar Association awarded certificates of merit to 3 groups and 5 individuals; the Khanh Hoa Provincial Bar Association awarded certificates of merit to 6 groups and 13 individuals who had excellently completed their tasks.
