The 5th Conference of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation, term XI, 2023 - 2028

On the afternoon of June 27, the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) held the fifth (expanded) Executive Committee meeting of the 11th term, 2023-2028.

According to the report at the conference, the Provincial Federation of Labor currently manages 15 district, town and city federations of labor, 6 local industry unions, 2 affiliated public service units with a total number of workers, civil servants and employees of 88,454 people; of which 84,122 are union members and are active in 1,824 grassroots unions.

In the first 6 months of 2025, trade unions at all levels have well implemented programs and activities according to the set plan. In particular, the work of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers has been focused on.

Activities to care for union members and workers, especially those in difficult circumstances and those with serious illnesses, have received attention and focused on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2025, Workers' Month, and Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health... As a result, visits, encouragement, and gifts were organized for 59,343 union members with a total cost of more than 15 billion VND; funding for the construction and repair of 127 "Union Shelters" for union members in difficult housing circumstances with a total support cost of nearly 6 billion VND.

The grassroots trade unions at the higher levels have implemented many solutions to develop union members and build union organizations, especially in non-state enterprises. Accordingly, 3,077 new union members were admitted, an increase of 1,969 members, reaching 19.69% of the target assigned by the General Confederation; 15 grassroots trade unions of non-state enterprises were established. Attention was paid to the work of introducing and developing the Party among union members and workers; trade unions at all levels introduced 984 outstanding union members to the Party committee (reaching 53.19% of the target assigned by the General Confederation), the number of union members admitted to the Party was 235 comrades.

Regarding the tasks for the last 6 months of the year, the Provincial Federation of Labor will strengthen the work of grasping information, listening to feedback from the grassroots and aspirations of union members and workers; replicating practical models to care for the material and spiritual interests of union members and workers; continue to propagate the Party's guidelines and resolutions, the State's laws and policies and trade union organizations to union members and workers; continue to implement emulation movements, promote initiatives, improve techniques, improve labor productivity, effectively make achievements to celebrate holidays, major anniversaries of the Party, the country and Party congresses at all levels; continue to reorganize the apparatus, personnel work...

At the conference, the Provincial Federation of Labor announced the decision to end the activities of 21 grassroots trade unions (including 15 district, town and city trade unions and 6 industry trade unions), starting from July 1, 2025.

Leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor awarded Certificates of Merit of the General Confederation of Labor to individuals.

On this occasion, the Provincial Federation of Labor awarded the Medal "For the cause of building the Trade Union organization" to 35 leaders and 156 trade union officials of the Provincial Federation of Labor; awarded Certificates of Merit from the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for good workers and building a strong trade union organization in 2024.
