Vu Ninh Ward Farmers' Association joins hands to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas

BAC NINH - On October 15, the Farmers' Association of Vu Ninh Ward held its first Congress for the 2025-2030 term. Attending the Congress were leaders of the Provincial Farmers' Association; representatives of local government leaders, relevant units and 109 delegates representing 2,259 farmer members in the ward.

The Vu Ninh Ward Farmers' Association was newly established under Decision No. 74-QD/HNDT dated July 1, 2025 of the Standing Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Farmers' Association, including 11 affiliated branches with a total of 2,259 members.

During the 2023-2025 period, the Executive Committee of the Ward Farmers' Association has been active, proactive, creative, and innovative in the content and methods of operation in a focused and key direction.

The Association has stepped up propaganda and mobilized members and farmers to strive to successfully implement the directions, goals and tasks of the Association and the farmers' movement, with annual targets always reaching and exceeding the set plan.

The Association's patriotic emulation movements, especially the Farmers' emulation movement of good production and business, solidarity to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty, have been effectively implemented, attracting a large number of farmers to participate. In the past 3 years, the whole ward has had more than 1,495 households achieving the title of good production and business farmers at all levels.

Attention has been paid to training, fostering, and improving knowledge, qualifications, and production and business skills for farmers. The Association has coordinated with specialized units to open 20 training courses to transfer science and technology to 1,500 people. The Association also created conditions for farmers to borrow 825 million VND from the Farmers' Support Fund and 11 billion VND from the Provincial Social Policy Bank to develop production.

In addition, the Farmers' Association of Vu Ninh Ward has actively mobilized farmers to implement the National Target Program on building new rural areas, civilized urban areas and environmental protection.

The Association has organized 8 campaigns to clean up the fields, mobilizing more than 400 officials and members to participate. Clearing weeds on some internal roads with a total length of over 15 km. Collecting pesticide packaging, plastic waste, dredging irrigation and drainage canals. Establishing and maintaining 11 self-managed people's groups on environmental sanitation in 11 neighborhoods. Planting and caring for 7,000 trees, maintaining 5 self-managed farmer roads. Organizing 100% of members to sign a commitment to say no to dirty food.

In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Farmers' Association of Vu Ninh Ward sets out key goals: Building a strong and comprehensive Association organization, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation; promoting the role of economic subjects; participating extensively in building civilized urban areas; promoting democracy, protecting the rights of members...

Strive for 100% of cadres and members to be propagandized, disseminated, and educated on the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State related to agricultural production development and rural economic development; recruit 200 new members; have 97% or more branches fulfill their tasks well and excellently; every year, 60% or more of farming households register and 50% or more of registered households achieve the title of good producer and trader at all levels; have at least 80% of members equipped with digital knowledge and skills; 60% of branches are provided with services of materials, seeds, and capital for agricultural production.

Speaking at the Congress, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association Dao Duy Huu suggested that the Farmers' Association of Vu Ninh Ward should pay attention to strongly innovating the content and methods of propaganda in a practical and effective direction. Accompanying farmer members to continue promoting the role of the subject and center of farmers in developing agriculture and services, building a model of "5 new" farmers (new thinking, new awareness, new knowledge, new cultural life, new determination), on that basis there will be new income.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association also requested to promote farmers' movements associated with building a bright, green, clean, beautiful, safe environment and new rural areas, civilized urban areas; guide farmers to develop collective economy in agriculture, build and replicate collective economic models and cooperatives. At the same time, promote the work of building and consolidating a strong Association organization, developing members along with improving the quality of members, gradually intellectualizing farmers. Actively participate in building the Party, building a strong government and promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc, building and consolidating the worker-farmer-intellectual alliance.

At the Congress, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Association announced the Decision on appointing the Executive Committee of the Farmers' Association of Vu Ninh Ward, Term I, 2025-2030, consisting of 19 comrades, the Standing Committee consists of 5 comrades. Comrade Nguyen The Ngoc was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Farmers' Association of the Ward for the term 2025-2030.
