"Where there is good land, there are birds of prey"
In 1999, Tien Son Industrial Park, the first concentrated industrial park, was built in the communes of Hoan Son, Tuong Giang, Dong Nguyen, Noi Due of Tien Son district, Bac Ninh province (old), opening the period of strong industrialization of the province. With the advantage of favorable geographical location and attractive investment attraction policies of the province, Tien Son Industrial Park quickly developed. Rice fields became factories, farmers became workers. Workers from other localities came to work and reside here, creating new livelihoods for local people: working at enterprises, renting rooms, providing essential services for workers' lives.

Dai Dong commune's appearance is increasingly improving. |
Following the success of Tien Son Industrial Park, many other industrial parks and clusters were later opened in Dai Dong commune such as Dai Dong-Hoan Son Industrial Park, VSIP Industrial Park, Tri Phuong Industrial Cluster. Currently, there are 892 operating enterprises in the commune. The development of industrial parks and clusters has fundamentally changed the local economy in the direction of increasing the proportion of industrial and service production and reducing the proportion of agricultural production.
Income from services has long been the main source of income for the majority of residents in Nui Mong village. Village chief Vu Van Che said: "The village has nearly 400 households, of which nearly 250 households operate rental rooms. In addition, many households participate in other essential services to serve workers' lives such as selling food, groceries, babysitting..." Mr. Le Van Phong's family has about 30 rental rooms. Mr. Phong said that depending on the production and business situation of the enterprises, the occupancy rate and rental price will vary from time to time. The rental room service helps his family have a stable monthly income to ensure their lives.
Enterprises investing in the commune have attracted many workers from other places to work and live. Not only is it a place to stop, Dai Dong is also the second hometown of many workers from other provinces, many workers' families bought land to build houses to settle here permanently. In 2009, the Electrical Equipment Company moved its headquarters from Gia Lam ( Hanoi ) to Dai Dong - Hoan Son Industrial Park. Mr. Nguyen Hong Ha, born in 1970, from Nguyen Nam commune, Nghe An province, followed the company here to work. He brought his wife, Ms. Nguyen Thu Hien, born in 1979, and two young children to rent a house in Dai Dong commune. Ms. Hien also quickly found a job. After a few years of renting a house, Mr. Ha's family saved up to buy land and build a house in Vien hamlet, Duong Huc village. Ms. Hien happily said: "For a long time, I have considered this land my second homeland because I am familiar with the climate and lifestyle here, and am very closely attached to the neighbors...".
Aiming to become a ward
The strong industrialization process has led to positive changes in Dai Dong in the direction of increasingly strong urbanization. With the highest determination for development, the locality has made efforts to overcome difficulties, invested in completing infrastructure, strengthened state management in all aspects of work, especially ensuring security, order and environmental sanitation. At the same time, strengthen propaganda, mobilization, create awareness of self-conscious compliance with the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and policies among the people. Average income reaches nearly 80 million VND/person/year. During the term, the commune has started 32 projects with a total investment of more than 225 billion VND, of which 27 projects have been completed. Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee Nguyen Manh Hung said: "To complete the above goal, the commune focuses on implementing three breakthroughs: Investing in modern infrastructure - digital transformation - green transformation; building a strong Party Committee; developing harmonious culture - society, preserving identity. At the same time, implementing synchronous solutions to proactively control and minimize shortcomings in industrial development such as: Mechanical population growth puts pressure on technical infrastructure, risks of loss of security and order, environmental pollution...".
