On the morning of September 20, Mr. Thai Thanh Tam - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee - together with leaders of the Commune People's Committee; leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the Commune, the Commune Farmers' Association; Head of the People's Committee of Hamlet 71 and Head of the Women's Association of Hamlet 71 visited vegetable growing households that were flooded by rain.
Heavy rain on the evening of September 18 caused flooding in leafy vegetable beds, affecting 22 households in Hamlet 71, Rach Cau Suoi Street, Vinh Loc Commune, with a total flooded area of over 63,900m2 .
Immediately after grasping the situation, Mr. Thai Thanh Tam - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Vinh Loc Commune Party Committee - on behalf of the leaders of Vinh Loc Commune visited, acknowledged the difficulties, and encouraged people to quickly overcome the consequences and stabilize production.
To share the loss of the people, Mr. Thai Thanh Tam gave 5 affected households a total of 9 million VND.
Mr. Thai Thanh Tam directed the units, departments and unions of the commune to continue to monitor the situation, take timely support measures for the people, help them feel secure in working and production, and reduce damage caused by natural disasters.
