Honda Today 50 - "super fuel-efficient" scooter arrives in Vietnam

The new Honda Today 50 has just been brought to Vietnam by a private dealer in Ho Chi Minh City. The vehicle has a classic design, is fuel-efficient and is suitable for students.

Recently, a private motorbike dealer in Ho Chi Minh City has officially brought the new generation Honda Today 50 unique scooter to Vietnam. According to records, the Today 50 has just arrived in Vietnam and is on sale with 3 models including Hello Today White, Premium Gold and Special Edition Gray.

In terms of design, the Honda Today 50 2025 scooter still retains the familiar classic style from the previous generation, with silver chrome accents on the headlights creating a sense of sophistication and luxury. Overall dimensions are 1,626 mm long, 658 mm wide, 1,048 mm high, and a wheelbase of 1,187 mm.

The instrument cluster on the Today 50 is designed in a round black background, displaying all basic information such as speed, distance or fuel level. The vehicle is also equipped with an OBD error diagnosis system, helping to detect and repair problems quickly.

The unladen weight is just 80 kg, 40% lighter than most 125cc scooters, combined with a seat height of 715 mm, providing comfort and easy control for even small riders of around 1m5. The 22L trunk can hold a half-head helmet and still has room for gloves and a raincoat, enough for daily grocery shopping.

The body and saddle are both black, the saddle is thick and soft, providing a comfortable experience. The front of the vehicle is narrow and slightly raised, contributing to the balance in the overall appearance.

In terms of equipment, the vehicle uses upside-down shock absorbers in the front and a single shock absorber in the rear. Both wheels are fitted with cast aluminum alloy rims and tubeless tires. The braking system uses front and rear drum brakes with a linear brake force distribution system, which is enough to cope with speeds under 50km/h, but requires a longer braking distance.

The power of the Today 50 2025 is a 50cc, single-cylinder, naturally aspirated, air-cooled engine, producing a maximum capacity of 3.75 horsepower at 7,750 rpm and maximum torque of 3.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm.

Although it cannot compare in power with larger "senior" scooter models such as Honda Vision or LEAD, the performance level of Today 50 is still enough to meet daily travel needs in the city.

The car is equipped with a CVT gearbox, a maximum speed of 50 km/h, and a fuel consumption of only 1.8 liters. With a fuel tank capacity of 4.7 liters, the car can travel a distance of 200 km without any problems.

Currently, the private dealer importing Honda Today 50, Cub House in Ho Chi Minh City, has not yet announced the official price for this small scooter in Vietnam, but some sources say the vehicle could cost around more than 60 million VND.

Although this price is quite high compared to the 50cc segment, but with the Honda brand, classic design and rarity in Vietnam - the "pretty little" scooter will still be loved by many people who collect or look for a compact, unique scooter to use in cities or urban areas.
