Iran launched a series of missiles into Israeli territory on October 1, attacking a series of military bases in what Tehran said was retaliation for Tel Aviv's assassination of Hamas and Hezbollah leaders. Israel announced it had retaliated.
Tasnim reported on October 7 that the IRGC has prepared at least 10 scenarios to respond to any military action by Israel.
Iran has at least 10 response plans if Israel attacks
"Iran's response will not necessarily be similar to the level of Israel's actions, but it can be more intense and aimed at different targets allowing to increase the effectiveness of the response," Tasnim quoted an Iranian military source as saying.
Because Israel's territory is significantly smaller than Iran's, with less and more sensitive infrastructure, an Iranian retaliation could cause unprecedented levels of trouble for its adversary, the source said.

The source also warned that any country that supports Israel in carrying out an attack should know that it will cross Iran's red line and will suffer losses.
The warning was clearly aimed at the United States, which is coordinating with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's administration to prepare for an Israeli response.
Last week, Tehran sent a message to Washington through Qatar that Iran had always restrained its actions and that enough was enough.
