“The exchange will help both sides understand each other’s tea better. I hope we can promote delicious Vietnamese tea to Taiwan and vice versa, promote delicious Taiwanese tea to Vietnam and even many other countries. Through this twinning, everyone will have the opportunity to learn about each other’s culture and tea. In addition, we will have a friendly relationship so we can promote tea culture together,” Ms. Huong emphasized the significance of the signing ceremony.
“Sometimes, we come to Vietnam and have the opportunity to learn more about the delicious tea of Vietnam, as well as the culture and tea drinking habits of that country. Then, we can bring tea back and promote it to tea lovers in Nantou or Taiwan so that everyone can understand more clearly how special Vietnamese tea is and not just used to make drinks,” Ms. Huong shared more of her own experiences with Vietnamese tea after having visited there many times.

Ms. Ngo Thi Thanh Tam, President of the Vo Nga Tea Association of Vietnam, was moved to say that in this warm, solemn and sincere atmosphere, everyone witnessed a very meaningful event, the twinning ceremony between the Vo Nga Tea Association of Tung Linh Nam Dau and the Vo Nga Tea Association of Vietnam. Tea master Thanh Tam has spent more than 30 years of her life devoted to tea as well as bringing the tea culture to many places.
“For Vietnamese people, “twinning” is a very sacred word, carrying the weight of brotherhood, friendship, and close attachment. Today, we officially become soul mates, sharing the same love and passion for tea, with the spirit of “selflessness”.
Speaking further at the signing ceremony, tea master Thanh Tam expressed: "This affection not only transcends geographical boundaries, but is also an invisible thread connecting two cultures. From this moment on, both tea associations will become companions, supporting each other so that each association can become stronger. Not only will we spread tea art and culture together, we will also cultivate sincere affection together, a strong bridge."
After the twinning ceremony of the two Vo Nga tea associations, there will be many activities to exchange tea culture, share experiences, learn techniques and introduce the quintessence of tea from Vietnam and Taiwan.
Tea master Ngo Thi Thanh Tam believes that with the support and valuable experience of the Vo Nga Tung Linh Nam Dau Tea Association, the Vietnam Vo Nga Tea Association will have enough confidence and potential to host the International Vo Nga Tea Association in 2028.
At the event, many Vietnamese tea lovers went to Taiwan to attend and promote Vietnamese tea culture such as tea people Phan Thi Mai Huong - Nguyen Hong Vy Dan (mother and daughter); artist Vo Le Vy; artist Tuan Hung; Mr. Tran Thanh Hung - senior expert, historical researcher working at the Institute for Research on Development and Preservation of Southeast Asian Culture and Arts; Ms. Kim Nhung...
When coming to Taiwan, tea person Mai Huong - Vice President of the Vietnam Vo Nga Tea Association said that she had enthusiastically chosen a typical Vietnamese tea: lotus tea, a high-class Vietnamese tea; precious Ma Do (horse stopping) tea to make tea for guests. Two products of ancient Shan Tuyet tea and pink lotus green tea were also given by Ms. Mai Huong to tea lovers here. Tea person Vy Dan made lotus-scented white tea - a wonderful combination: ancient Shan Tuyet creates white tea, then is infused with lotus pistil to create the sweet taste of white tea and the fragrance of lotus.

"Whenever I have the opportunity to go somewhere, I always want to spread Vietnamese tea to international friends. As a tea person, I also feel responsible for spreading special Vietnamese teas and Vietnamese culture to more people," tea person Mai Huong shared.
Ma Do tea in Dak Lak (formerly Phu Yen ) is a very special tea of the people here. The color of the brewed water is as beautiful as black tea, but when drunk, it has an astringent taste so it is not called black tea. Its special aroma makes many people think it is oolong, but it is simply a type of green tea. "A unique feature that Ma Do tea brings," said tea person Mai Huong.
The famous tea master Liu Guiyang (Taiwan) praised the tea made by tea master Wei Dan as well-brewed and fragrant, but to better exploit the tea's aroma, he only added a brewing method and waited for the water to be ripe enough to fully release the tea's aroma.
When Vietnamese tea is poured from cup to cup, the tea gently permeates the tongues of tea lovers, it is proof that the pure aroma of Vietnamese tea is strong enough to spread the spirit of "Selflessness" without boundaries and is the connection of tea, spreading a unique and pure tea culture.
