Conference of prisoners' families at Dak Trung Prison in 2025

The conference was attended by 300 prisoners, representing more than 3,500 prisoners being reformed at the prison, along with many relatives and families of the prisoners.

At the conference, the Prison Board reported on education work, implementation of policies for prisoners, training and vocational training for prisoners.

Accordingly, over the past time, Dak Trung Prison has strictly complied with the 2019 Law on Enforcement of Criminal Judgments, decrees, circulars, and instructions of the Ministry of Public Security . All activities of detention, education, and rehabilitation of prisoners have been carried out in accordance with the correct procedures and authority, ensuring security and order.

In addition, the Prison fully implements the regimes of accommodation, medical care, visiting regulations, gift giving... for prisoners; at the same time, organizes many educational, labor, vocational training, cultural, physical education and sports activities, helping prisoners to be aware of training, comply with regulations, work hard, learn a trade, strive to reform, soon enjoy leniency policies, return to reunite with their families, and reintegrate into the community.

Along with that, the Prison has also strengthened connections with prisoners' families, periodically organized prisoner family conferences, helping to connect members, creating a space for prisoners and their families to meet, helping prisoners have more spiritual motivation, a sense of responsibility to their families and society, thereby making efforts to study, work and reform better.

Thanks to that, education and reform work has achieved many good results. Specifically, since the beginning of the year, over 340 prisoners have had their sentences reduced and reunited with their families.

At the conference, Colonel Tran Van Dung, Warden of the Prison, awarded vocational training certificates to 10 inmates who had completed training courses in knitting, carpentry, and motorbike repair; presented 10 gifts from the Golden Heart Fund, encouraging inmates who are not often visited by their relatives; and at the same time, launched a campaign to raise funds to support the Golden Heart Fund with the positive response of businesses and relatives of inmates.
