On October 22, the People's Committee of Thuc Phan Ward deployed the work of repairing the underground bridge of Song Hien River to ensure flood drainage, stabilize the flow, limit stagnation, accumulation of garbage, and floating trees that obstruct the flow, and protect the traffic infrastructure along the river and neighboring areas.

The construction unit is repairing structural damage to the Song Hien underground bridge, Thuc Phan ward.

In recent years, after each storm, especially after storm Yagi (storm No. 3 in 2024), recently storm No. 10 (BuaLoi) and storm No. 11 (MatMo), when heavy rains come, floodwaters carry many trees, bamboo bushes and garbage to the overflow area, obstructing the flow, causing changes in flow direction, erosion, damage to the bridge structure, embankments and riverside traffic roads, posing a potential risk of traffic insecurity and affecting the lives of people in neighboring areas.

Implementing the Notice of Conclusion of the 2nd Provincial Standing Committee meeting, to ensure flood safety, traffic safety and the lives of people in neighboring areas. Chairman of Thuc Phan Ward People's Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan said: From October 22, 2025, Thuc Phan Ward People's Committee will deploy the work of repairing the Song Hien underground bridge to ensure flood drainage, stabilize the flow, limit the situation of stagnation, accumulation of garbage, floating trees that obstruct the flow, protect the traffic infrastructure along the river and neighboring areas.

People and vehicles moving between the Song Hien - Hop Giang area do not go through the Ngam bridge but move towards the Song Hien bridge to ensure safety.

It is recommended that people and vehicles traveling between the Song Hien - Hop Giang area follow the direction of Song Hien bridge to ensure safety. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, departments, agencies, units and residential groups coordinate and propagate to the people to know and implement.

Thuc Phan Ward People's Committee informs the people and hopes to continue to receive their consensus, support and cooperation.
