International visitors returning to Vietnam rank 3rd in Asia

(GLO)- According to booking data on Agoda in the first 6 months of 2025, Vietnam ranked 3rd in the top 5 Asian countries with the highest number of returning guests, just behind Japan and Thailand and surpassing Malaysia and Indonesia.

According to this platform, the top 5 destinations with the most returning tourists in Vietnam in the first half of this year include Da Nang, Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Phu Quoc.

For the first time, Da Nang appeared in the top 10 Asian cities with the highest rate of returning tourists and is the most attractive city in Asia.

The above mentioned localities in Vietnam attract tourists by their long, clear blue beaches, and urban areas rich in cultural identity but still bustling and vibrant. In July 2025, the number of international visitors to Vietnam reached 1.56 million, an increase of 6.8% over the same period last year. In the past 7 months, 12.2 million international visitors chose Vietnam as a destination, an increase of 22.5% over the same period in 2024.

With the figures achieved in the past 7 months, experts say that Vietnamese tourism has every chance of reaching the target of 22-23 million international visitors and over 120-130 million domestic visitors, contributing to the GDP growth target of over 8% in 2025 and double-digit growth in the coming period.
