Da Nang focuses on overcoming the consequences of storm No. 10

Regarding the work of overcoming the consequences of storm No. 10 and the floods after the storm, the City People's Committee assigned agencies, units and localities to urgently organize and implement the overcoming of the consequences caused by floods; check, count, evaluate and report the damage situation according to regulations, and send it to the City Civil Defense Command before the afternoon of October 3.

Proactively use resources of agencies, units and localities to overcome the consequences of natural disasters. In case of exceeding the balance capacity, propose specific support needs according to current regulations and actual damage, report and propose to the City People's Committee, the City Civil Defense Command and relevant departments and branches.

Organize visits and encourage affected families; mobilize forces to support people in cleaning up the environment, restoring traffic routes, essential infrastructure works and production immediately after natural disasters.

The City People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance to proactively balance the budget and promptly advise the City People's Committee when there are proposals from localities and units. At the same time, it is requested that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, departments, branches, and sectors, Chairmen of People's Committees of communes, wards, and special administrative units, associations and unions, according to their functions and tasks, organize serious 24/24 duty.

Prepare forces to participate in the work of preventing, combating and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters; report on response work and damage caused by natural disasters to the Da Nang City Civil Defense Command before 13:00 every day to promptly synthesize and report to the Prime Minister, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, the City People's Committee and Central agencies.

Regarding the work of proactively responding to natural disasters in the coming time, the City People's Committee requests departments, branches, sectors and localities to continue to seriously implement the direction of the City People's Committee in the following documents: Official Dispatch No. 602 dated July 28, 2025 on continuing to carry out natural disaster prevention and control tasks in the coming time; Official Dispatch No. 1245 dated August 18, 2025 on implementing Notice No. 394 dated August 3, 2025 of the Government Office .

Implement Decision No. 1657 dated September 26, 2025 on approving the Disaster Response Plan according to risk levels in Da Nang city, along with disaster response plans according to risk levels of localities, agencies and units.

Along with that, continue to check unsafe areas, especially deeply flooded, isolated areas, low-lying areas along rivers and streams, areas at risk of flash floods and landslides; proactively arrange forces to guard and block them; strictly prohibit people and vehicles from traveling on deeply flooded roads, fast-flowing water, culverts, spillways, river, stream, reservoir areas, and areas at risk of landslides, to minimize human losses...

The City People's Committee requested the Central Hydrometeorological Station to closely monitor and promptly provide disaster forecasts and warnings so that relevant agencies and people can proactively deploy response measures.

At the same time, provide meteorological and hydrological monitoring data (daily data during the rainy season) at the stations under management to the Department of Agriculture and Environment at the prescribed frequency, in accordance with the situation and developments of natural disasters in the city.
