The 1st Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Po To Commune, term 2025-2030

(GLO)- On September 30, at the Po To Commune Hall (Gia Lai Province), the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) for the 2025-2030 term took place.

Attending the Congress were Mr. Dinh Ngoc Hai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; representatives of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of the commune and 100 delegates representing all walks of life.

During the 2024-2029 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune has promoted the propaganda of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws to all classes of people; promoted the strength of the great national unity bloc in implementing patriotic emulation movements, contributing to promoting local socio -economic development.

The work of mobilizing, caring for and helping the poor is focused. In 2025, Po To commune supported the construction of 131 houses for poor households with a total cost of more than 7 billion VND. The Front Working Committee of villages and hamlets propagated and mobilized people to donate 1,000 m2 of land and contribute 7,834 working days to expand and renew traffic routes. Thanks to that, the appearance of villages and hamlets is increasingly improved, and people's lives are improved. The poverty rate has decreased by an average of 4.89%.

In addition, the Front also well implements democratic regulations, represents and protects the legitimate rights and interests of the people; supervises and provides social criticism; participates in preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity, contributing to building a clean and strong Party and government.

With the spirit of "Solidarity-Democracy-Responsibility-Innovation-Development", the delegates focused on discussing the results of implementing the action programs of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024-2029 term; at the same time, sharing experiences in coordinating the implementation of patriotic emulation campaigns and movements in the locality.

The Congress resolved to pass 6 action programs and 13 specific targets for the 2025-2030 term: 100% of villages build self-management teams or groups in the community; every year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the commune organizes 3 or more supervision contents; social criticism of 2 or more draft documents; every year strives to support the reduction of multidimensional poverty rate by 3% or more; every year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune and socio-political organizations complete their tasks well or better...

The Congress agreed on the number of members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the first term, including 51 members (4 members are vacant); elected a delegation to attend the first Provincial Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front, including 1 official delegate and 1 alternate delegate; unanimously elected Ms. Huynh Thi Ngoc Lan to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the first term, 2025-2030 term.
