Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long emphasized: Nghe An, with its more than 990 years of history, is proud to be the land of "fence", "important town" of the country, a place with a long tradition of patriotism, resounding with revolutionary spirit, a place where many historical and cultural values imbued with identity converge with more than 2,600 relics, including 6 special national relics, 135 national relics, more than 500 intangible cultural heritages, with 1 representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity, 9 national intangible cultural heritages.

In the colorful picture of Nghe An, Cua Lo stands out with the vitality and dynamism of a coastal tourist city. After 117 years of forming a tourist destination and 30 years of construction and development, Cua Lo town is gradually changing, taking on the appearance of a bustling coastal tourist city, an ideal and attractive resort destination, with an infrastructure system that can accommodate more than 30,000 guests staying day/night. In particular, there are many tourism services, entertainment areas, and high-class resorts, among which stand out the Vinpearl Cua Hoi resort, Cua Hoi entertainment area, and Ngu Island eco-tourism area...

The 2024 Cua Lo Tourism Festival is an opportunity for Nghe An province to introduce and promote its values, resources and unique tourism products to domestic and foreign friends and tourists. This is also a specific and practical activity, affirming the determination of the Party Committee, government and people to build the province to become more and more prosperous and civilized, in line with the spirit of Resolution No. 39 of the Politburo to make Nghe An a prosperous province as Uncle Ho wished.

Right after the opening drum beat is the art program "Cua Lo - Aspiration to shine". This is an art program imbued with the cultural colors of Nghe An combined with the youthfulness and excitement of a Cua Lo on the path of innovation and integration. It is a connection of music and performance to tell the story of Cua Lo through 30 years of construction, innovation and vibrant development. In addition to the combination of a special fireworks display, the program also has a combination of artistic lighting performances using hundreds of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) to create artistic shapes in the air.

Within the framework of the festival, a series of activities will take place such as: Sports competitions; Fishing festival at Lang Hieu temple, Nghi Hai ward; Street music and night food festival; Art program "Ve mien vi giam"; The 3rd town's best chef competition. In 2024, Cua Lo strives to welcome 4.15 million visitors, with 1.45 million overnight guests, revenue from tourism services reaching 4,200 billion VND.

Also at the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Cultural Heritage (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) Nong Quoc Thanh presented the Decision to recognize the Yen Luong Temple Festival, Nghi Thuy Ward, Cua Lo Town as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. This is a folk festival associated with the worship of the Four Holy Mothers and the deities of coastal residents, and is one of the most unique traditional festivals of Nghe An, demonstrating many unique elements of coastal culture, passed down for hundreds of years.
