Lai Chau promotes the strength of national solidarity in the new situation

In that situation, the promotion of the strength of great national unity has been paid attention to by the Provincial Party Committee, Party committees at all levels, authorities, and the Fatherland Front, leading, directing and implementing, becoming a great source of strength contributing to the successful implementation of the province's political tasks.

Success, success, great success", since the separation and establishment of the province, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province have clearly promoted their roles and responsibilities in consolidating and promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc. Not only is it a bridge between the Party, the State and the people, but it is also a center that gathers the intelligence, enthusiasm and strength of all classes of people, making an important contribution to socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, maintaining political security; social order and safety, firmly protecting the fence of the Northwest region of the Fatherland.

The Resolution of the 14th Lai Chau Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025, determined: "Promoting democracy, the strength of ethnic solidarity; improving the quality and effectiveness of the activities of the Fatherland Front and people's organizations. Innovating and improving the quality and effectiveness of the activities of the Fatherland Front and people's organizations; building and consolidating a strong organization of the Fatherland Front and organizations; closely coordinating and unifying actions, focusing on the grassroots, closely working with the people, union members, promoting the people's mastery. Building emulation movements and campaigns that closely follow the political tasks of the province, locality, and grassroots...".

Thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province and its member organizations at all levels regularly innovate the content and methods of operation, diversify the forms of gathering, focus on the grassroots, residential areas, and households with the spirit of "right role, right job, effective and practical". Develop action programs, call on and mobilize people to actively work, produce, develop the economy, reduce poverty, improve living standards, unite to build cultural life in residential areas; build and implement village, hamlet, and residential group conventions, gradually eliminate backward customs...; improve the quality of campaigns and patriotic emulation movements in the direction of arousing creativity among the people, closely following the socio-economic development tasks of the province, typically the campaigns "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas", "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", "For the poor" fund; The movement "All people protect national security", protect national border sovereignty, prevent crime; fight and refute distorted, wrong and hostile arguments; take advantage of beliefs and religions to incite and divide the solidarity of ethnic groups; participate in the prevention and fight against the COVID-19 pandemic; mobilize and call on cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, business community and people to support, visit, encourage and assist families affected by natural disasters and floods; thousands of poor households and policy beneficiaries are supported by "Great Unity Houses"...

In the period of 2019-2024, the Fatherland Front at all levels mobilized to build a "For the Poor" fund of over 40 billion VND; visited and presented gifts to disadvantaged families and poor households on the occasion of the Lunar New Year with 8,550 gifts, supported the construction of 798 new houses, and repaired 31 Great Solidarity houses. Responding to the emulation movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has promoted propaganda and mobilized cadres, union members, association members, and people from all walks of life to actively participate in contributing to the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, contributing to the elimination of 7,161 temporary and dilapidated houses in the area, reaching 100% of the set plan. Lai Chau province is one of 19 collectives awarded the Third-class Labor Medal for their outstanding achievements in the emulation movement to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025"...

The Fatherland Front at all levels regularly meets, exchanges, holds discussions to listen to opinions, resolves or reflects to superiors and competent authorities to promptly handle the legitimate requests and aspirations of union members, association members and the People. Promotes the people's mastery, plays a good role as a bridge between Party committees and authorities at all levels and the People; the work of social supervision and criticism is increasingly carried out effectively, contributing to making the Party's policies and the State's policies come into life; fights against corruption, builds a clean and strong political system, and builds a clean and strong Party.

From the practical implementation of activities, in the period of 2020 - 2025, the Fatherland Front at all levels chaired and coordinated the implementation of 806 supervisions; carried out 250 social criticism contents, coordinated the organization of 212 direct dialogue conferences between the heads of Party committees and authorities with the people, thereby resolving difficulties, problems, legitimate thoughts and aspirations of the people, creating trust and social consensus, and consolidating the great solidarity bloc of ethnic groups.

The staff of the Front at all levels has been given attention in training and fostering, and their capacity and qualifications have increasingly met the requirements of the work. The Front's work has focused on the grassroots, taking the legitimate and legal interests of the people as the driving force. The Front's activities have had many changes, fundamentally overcoming the administrative situation... which has been highly appreciated by Party committees at all levels, recognized by the government, and agreed and responded by the people.

The results of activities and contributions of the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province contribute to the successful implementation of socio-economic development tasks, maintaining national defense and security, ensuring social order and safety, and realizing the goal of building Lai Chau province to become increasingly prosperous and strong.

However, the propaganda and mobilization work of the Fatherland Front at all levels is sometimes formal; the grasp of people's thoughts, aspirations and concerns is sometimes not timely; the leadership and coordination of the Fatherland Front and its member organizations is sometimes not tight, failing to promote the strengths of each organization in implementing patriotic emulation movements and campaigns; the work of supervision and social criticism has not met the requirements...

To promote the strength of national solidarity in the new situation, Party committees and authorities at all levels, and the entire political system need to thoroughly grasp President Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on national solidarity, resolutely and effectively implement policies and guidelines on national solidarity. Focus on building an increasingly strong Fatherland Front and mass organizations; pay attention to consolidating and improving the quality of cadres to ensure capacity, dynamism, creativity and efficiency to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation; strongly innovate propaganda and education work for union members; diversify forms of gathering and mobilizing people to participate in campaigns and patriotic emulation movements, effectively implement the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", "All people protect national security", actively develop the economy; eliminate backward customs and practices, preserve the cultural identity of ethnic groups, build model villages and hamlets. Organize well the national solidarity festival and the traditional day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Promote the role of village elders, clan leaders, and prestigious people in the community; promptly discover, commend, reward, and replicate typical and advanced examples.

To well perform the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the People, to be an important bridge between the Party, the Government and the People; to organize and guide the People to promote their mastery, proactively and actively participate in Party and Government building; to actively participate in preventing embezzlement, corruption, waste and negativity. To proactively and actively improve the quality and effectiveness of social supervision and criticism work; to proactively fight and refute the distorted and inciting arguments of hostile and reactionary forces that sabotage the great solidarity of all ethnic groups and divide the People from the Party and the State.
