Opening of the Exhibition "Vietnam People's Public Security - 80 years for a peaceful life"

The contest has contributed solutions and suggestions to build a clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and modern People's Public Security force, meeting the requirements of ensuring security and order in the new situation.

On August 5, the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the Central Youth Union to organize the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the "Contest to learn about the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day, the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection" and opened the exhibition "Vietnam People's Public Security - 80 years for a peaceful life."

The program is part of a series of events on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Forces' Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).

At the award ceremony of the "Contest to learn about the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security tradition day, the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection," Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To noted that the contest attracted more than 1.5 million entries; dozens of online multiple choice tests with nearly 100,000 participants.

Through the contest, many solutions, enthusiastic initiatives and suggestions have been contributed to building and promoting the movement "All people protect national security", building a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite and modern People's Public Security force, meeting the requirements of ensuring security and order in the new situation.

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To commented: "Many works have good stories, beautiful and touching images about the People's Public Security officers and soldiers in their work, combat, participation in movements, social work and even in daily life shared through the entries, contributing to clearly depicting the people's close bond with the People's Public Security, building a noble image of the People's Public Security force, a peaceful support for the people."

Representing the group of authors who won the A prize, Captain Vo Thi Bich Phuong, Deputy Head of the Youth Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police, shared that through participating in the contest, she and other officers and soldiers were able to consolidate their knowledge about the 80-year journey of building, fighting and growing of the People's Police force.

Not only stopping at learning traditions, the contest is also an opportunity for each person, especially the young police, to affirm their role, stance, and ideology, continue to foster revolutionary enthusiasm, and be ready to join hands with the entire Party and people to carry out political tasks in the new period - the period when the country enters an era of strong development.

For the writing contest, the Organizing Committee recognized 80 prizes, including 10 A prizes, 15 B prizes, 20 C prizes and 35 Encouragement prizes; at the same time, proposed special prizes for outstanding and typical entries.

For the Contest, 10 weekly prizes (including cash prizes and certificates) will be awarded to the 10 people who answer the questions most correctly and fastest in each contest; 100 cash prizes will be awarded to contestants who answer each question correctly in each contest.

Also on this occasion, the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the Hanoi People's Committee to organize the exhibition "Vietnam People's Public Security - 80 years for a peaceful life" as a practical activity to express gratitude and further spread to the community about the contributions and sacrifices of the People's Public Security force in the revolutionary cause, building and defending the Fatherland.

In addition, through educational and experiential activities at the Exhibition, we aim to raise awareness of "rule of law" in the community.

The exhibition's content includes the following topics. Topic 1 "Historical Imprints" displays and introduces the history of formation and development of the Vietnam People's Public Security (from 1945 - present).

Theme 2 "Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia People's Public Security - Marks of cooperation and development" displays and introduces the friendly cooperation relationship between the Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia Public Security forces.

Topic 3 "Effective, efficient and effective People's Public Security - for a peaceful life" includes topics introducing some specific areas of work of the Vietnam People's Public Security force; activities to disseminate laws and educate on skills to ensure security and safety in the community.

In addition, the exhibition also has the theme "Peace on every road" displaying and introducing typical activities of the Traffic Police force; specialized equipment and vehicles of the Traffic Police; propaganda of laws to ensure traffic order and safety and educational activities on traffic order and safety.

The theme "Knowledge and Survival Skills" displays and introduces typical activities of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police force; specialized equipment and vehicles of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police force; propaganda of fire prevention and fighting laws and experiential education activities on ensuring fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue safety in the community.

The "Special Teacher" theme displays and introduces education, vocational training, and career guidance for prisoners, inmates, and students at prisons, compulsory education facilities, reform schools, and typical products of prisoners, inmates, and students.

The "Elite, Modern" theme displays and introduces People's Public Security uniforms; weapons and support tools of the Mobile Police force; People's Public Security Guard equipment; professional technical equipment and other equipment and means serving the work and combat of the Vietnam People's Public Security force.

The exhibition is open for visitors, display and experience from August 5 to August 12./.
