On the evening of November 13, the Quang Binh Provincial Police announced that the Investigation Police Agency of this province has just issued decisions to prosecute two criminal cases, prosecute the accused and ban from leaving the place of residence against two business directors for violating regulations on resource exploitation as prescribed in Point b, Clause 2, Article 227 of the Penal Code, which occurred in Son Thuy commune (Le Thuy district) and Truong Xuan commune (Quang Ninh district), Quang Binh province.
In the first case, the person prosecuted and banned from leaving his place of residence was Vo Van The (born in 1960, Chairman and Director of The Thinh Corporation LLC).

According to the investigation of the police agency, The Thinh Corporation Limited was licensed for general construction, mineral exploitation... and directly exploited limestone for construction at Len Khe Day Quarry (Truong Xuan commune, Quang Ninh district).
During the years from 2021 to 2023, Vo Van The, as Chairman and Director of The Thinh Corporation, exploited beyond the licensed scope with a volume of 87,000 m3, causing damage to State assets (minerals) worth more than VND 9.5 billion.
In the second case, the person prosecuted is Ngo Dinh Khanh (born 1993, residing in Van Ninh commune, Quang Ninh district, Quang Binh province).

According to the investigation of the police agency, in his role as the Executive Director of the stone quarry in Son Thuy commune (Le Thuy district) from 2022 to 2023, Ngo Dinh Khanh directly directed workers to exploit minerals beyond the licensed scope of the quarry with a volume of exploited minerals of more than 83,000m3, with a total value of illegally exploited minerals of more than 11.5 billion VND.
