Accordingly, from September 20 to October 22, 7 medical stations in Hanh Phuc, Phinh Ho, Ta Xi Lang and Tram Tau communes provided health screening for nearly 750 elderly people.

Through screening, common diseases in the elderly such as high blood pressure, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and musculoskeletal problems were detected early.
In addition, at screening sessions, health stations also organize thematic talks, coordinate with agencies, departments, associations of the elderly and villages to communicate and educate to raise awareness of population aging; change people's behavior about the rights and needs of health care for the elderly, especially in remote and disadvantaged villages; disseminate and guide knowledge about health care and skills to prevent common diseases in the elderly.

It is expected that by the end of October 26, the remaining 3 stations including Phinh Ho (Phinh Ho commune), Pa Lau, Tram Tau (Tram Tau commune) will continue to examine more than 100 elderly people and organize integrated communication activities.
