The training was attended by 60 trainees who are farmers, cooperative members, cooperative groups, grassroots agricultural extension officers and community agricultural extension groups of several communes in the province that have a need to develop banana growing areas.
Staff of the Provincial Agricultural Extension and Agricultural Services Center guide students in developing production plans and linking product consumption.
During the training period, trainees were instructed in detailed techniques for planting, caring for, and preventing Panama yellow leaf disease on banana trees; skills in organizing production and linking product consumption according to the value chain.
The training program is designed to combine theory with practice at the model, helping learners to easily understand and apply to actual production.
Students discuss in groups to improve their knowledge.
The training method focuses on visuality and vividness, suitable for farmers: using illustrations, group exercises and discussions, helping learners grasp the necessary knowledge and skills to apply at home, in cooperatives and in the locality.
The training course aims to transfer technical advances, improve productivity and quality of banana products, and promote production along the value chain, associated with new rural construction and sustainable poverty reduction.
Practical instructions at the model help students easily understand and apply to actual production.
Through this activity, localities have the conditions to expand banana growing areas in a concentrated and technically synchronous manner, contributing to the formation of large-scale production areas, increasing product value, and aiming for export.
