According to preliminary statistics so far, Ha Giang 1 ward has over 2,700 households flooded, 37 hectares of crops damaged, many areas flooded from 0.5 to 3 meters deep. Ha Giang 2 ward has over 5,000 houses flooded, many areas and roads are cut off, flooded from 3 to 4 meters high. In addition, many schools, headquarters of agencies and units are deeply flooded. The total damage in the areas is still being urgently reviewed, counted and specifically assessed by the locality.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Huy Ngoc stated: Localities need to develop specific civil defense plans; review and accurately assess damage; the mobilization of "4 on-site" forces needs to be done better; issues of electricity supply, domestic water supply, waste and environmental sanitation need to be quickly implemented so that people can soon restore and stabilize their lives.
