Specifically, 117 houses had their roofs blown off, were damaged, had landslides, and were flooded; the total area of flooded crops was 64.8 hectares; the concrete road to Ban Cam village was broken, the slope was eroded with a very large volume, people and vehicles could not pass; the road to Nam Tra and Nam Phang villages and Provincial Road 152 had serious landslides at many points. The total estimated value of damage was over 10 billion VND.

Faced with that situation, local authorities mobilized local forces to urgently fix and clear the route to serve people's travel needs.
Up to now, some roads have been temporarily cleared, motorbikes can move; households affected or at risk of landslides and rock falls have been mobilized to relocate to ensure safety.

Along with disaster relief work, the commune government coordinated with volunteer organizations to organize many activities to support people.
On October 4, as soon as the road to Ban Cam was opened, Gia Phu Commune People's Committee coordinated with the Provincial Buddhist Sangha to present 200 gifts to support the people. The gifts included 2 tons of rice, 200 boxes of instant noodles and 200 bags of essential necessities.

Up to now, Gia Phu commune has received 4 groups to support disaster recovery, with a total value of more than 100 million VND.
The gifts are a timely source of encouragement, demonstrating the spirit of "mutual love", helping people to soon stabilize their lives.

In the coming time, the local government will continue to accompany people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters; be ready to respond to storm No. 11, and at the same time pay special attention and support to severely affected households to quickly stabilize their lives.
