Inauguration of the Red Cross house in Lai Xuan commune, Thuy Nguyen district

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of August 13, the City Red Cross Association held the inauguration ceremony of the Red Cross House for Ms. Truong Thi Chuc's family in Dong 9 village, Lai Xuan commune, Thuy Nguyen district, sponsored by the Vsip Hai Phong Community Fund.

Attending the program were comrade Pham Thi Hoa, Vice President of the City Red Cross Society; along with representatives of the government, local organizations and related businesses.

Mrs. Truong Thi Chuc's family, born in 1948, is a poor household in the commune with particularly difficult housing conditions. She is living with her grandson in a 3-room house built in the 1970s with a leaky roof, peeling floors, and cracked walls. Due to difficult economic conditions, she does not have the means to repair and rebuild the house herself.

After the approval of the Hai Phong City People's Committee on supporting poor households to build and repair houses, in the 3 months of construction, the house has been completed as planned. The house is built on residential land, the construction area is 64 m², 08 m long, 08 m wide, the wall is made of concrete bricks, 4 m high, covered with cold corrugated iron roof, plastic ceiling, the structure of the house includes 01 living room, 02 bedrooms, ancillary works, kitchen, toilet built behind the house with corrugated iron roof system and accompanying yard.

The total construction cost is 350,000,000 VND. Of which, the family plans to borrow capital according to Resolution 52 of the People's Council through the Social Policy Bank of 35,000,000 VND, the source of brick and cement support according to Resolution 52 is 30,000,000 VND (currently the source of support according to Resolution 52 has not been disbursed), the total amount of funding expected for the family according to Resolution 52 of the City People's Council is 65,000,000 VND; Vsip Hai Phong Community Fund supports 100,000,000 VND; the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune supports 10,000,000 VND; the family and clan funding source is 175,000,000 VND./.
