On the morning of September 30, at the new National Highway 19 intersection, in Quarter 4, Quy Nhon Dong Ward, the People's Committee of Gia Lai Province solemnly held the inauguration ceremony of the Dien Bien Phu road extension to Diem Van Urban Area. This is an important project, marking a new step in urban planning and infrastructure connection in the coastal area of ​​the province.

The extended Dien Bien Phu route has a total length of 1.59km, a scale of a level III urban road, a design speed of 50km/h, a road surface width of 20.5m, including 4 lanes. The project is invested with more than 519 billion VND from the provincial budget and other legal capital sources, starting construction in August 2021.

After more than 4 years of construction with many difficulties, the project was completed on schedule, ensuring quality, fully equipped with lighting system, trees and traffic safety items.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Thanh, Standing Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee emphasized: "The completion of the route not only creates favorable conditions for people to travel, transport goods, and develop tourism , but also contributes to gradually completing the master plan for building the central urban area by 2035, with a vision to 2050".

This route is one of the important segments of the coastal route planning DT.639, connecting from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak, passing through Gia Lai province with a total length of about 121km.

According to the plan, the coastal route will be divided into 7 sections for investment in each phase, of which the section from Dai Giang bridge to Kim Van urban area has been completed, the remaining sections are being implemented with central capital and provincial budget.

Gia Lai provincial leaders cut the ribbon to inaugurate the project.

In the 2021-2025 period, Gia Lai province has invested more than VND 10,000 billion in key traffic projects such as the 13.6km coastal route (VND 2,675 billion), the 9.74km connecting route between An Nhon and the western coastal road of Thi Nai lagoon (VND 1,044 billion); the 20.7km route from Nhon Hoi economic zone to Phu Cat airport (VND 2,190 billion)...

Thereby, contributing to expanding development space, strengthening national defense and security and protecting sea and island sovereignty.

At the ceremony, the provincial leaders praised the sense of responsibility of the investor, construction units, relevant departments and especially the consensus and sharing of the people in the site clearance work. At the same time, they requested the units to continue to manage, maintain and effectively exploit the project, complete investment settlement procedures and update related planning to maximize the value of the route.

The completed Dien Bien Phu road extension project to Diem Van Urban Area is one of the important segments of the coastal road through Gia Lai province.

The inauguration of the Dien Bien Phu extended route is not only an event marking the completion of a modern infrastructure project, but also a symbol of the solidarity and determination of the Party Committee, government and people of Gia Lai province, making a practical contribution to the country's development in the new period.
