(NLDO) - According to forecasts, unseasonal rain will increase in Ho Chi Minh City and the South from tonight, February 19.
The Southern Hydrometeorological Station has just issued a weather forecast for Ho Chi Minh City and the South from tonight, February 19 to tomorrow, February 20, with unseasonal rains on the rise.
Accordingly, the weather in the region is mainly cloudy to cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms in some places (about 1/3 of the Southern region), with moderate to heavy rain in some places. During thunderstorms, beware of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
The lowest temperature ranges from 23-26 degrees Celsius, in the North East some places below 22 degrees Celsius; the highest temperature commonly ranges from 30-33 degrees Celsius in the East, in the West from 29-32 degrees Celsius.

Unseasonal rain will increase from tonight, February 19, and will gradually decrease after February 24.
The increase in unseasonal rains in the region is due to the influence of the cold continental high pressure moving eastward and weakening. Above, the subtropical high pressure with an axis through the South Central region tends to encroach westward. The easterly wind disturbance above tends to be active. The northeast wind in the eastern sea has a slight increase in intensity.
Also according to the forecast, in the next few days, the continental cold high pressure will continue to weaken, around February 21 the continental cold high pressure will strengthen again, then be further strengthened on February 23.
Above, the subtropical high pressure area will move west, weaken and move east from around February 25. The easterly wind disturbance above will last until around February 24 and gradually weaken.
The weather in the region from 2 to 7 days will be cloudy to cloudy, with intermittent sunny days; unseasonal rains in some places, locally moderate rain and thunderstorms, during thunderstorms, beware of strong gusts of wind.
After February 24, rain will decrease in both area and quantity.
