On October 14, the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention ( Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ) transferred emergency international aid from the Japanese Government to people affected by natural disasters in Bac Ninh province.

On the afternoon of October 14, a representative of the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention informed that at the meeting of the Disaster Risk Reduction Partnership, international organizations announced support packages for Vietnam to respond to natural disasters, including: the Australian Embassy will support 3 million Australian dollars, the Korean Embassy will support 1 million USD, the European Union will support 0.5 million Euros...
The Australian Embassy also informed about this content on October 14. Accordingly, the Australian Government provided 3 million Australian dollars (equivalent to more than 51 billion VND) in humanitarian assistance to Vietnam to overcome the damage caused by storms Bualoi and Matmo.
Australia's support will include emergency relief supplies such as kitchen sets, hygiene kits, rain gear, etc. The relief flight is expected to arrive in Vietnam tonight.
In a quick exchange with the press on the evening of October 14, Mr. Pham Duc Luan, Director of the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention, said that, according to a preliminary summary, up to this point, international organizations have announced to support Vietnam with about 5.5 million USD.
* The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment said that as of 5 p.m. on October 14, the water level on rivers in the North had decreased significantly. This afternoon, only 2,580 houses were flooded, down 628 houses compared to the morning, of which Bac Ninh had 1,502 houses and Hanoi had 1,078 houses. Most of the affected areas have been supplied with water for daily use.
At the same time, out of a total of 552,682 customers affected (without power) in the provinces of Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Cao Bang and Lang Son, by the afternoon of October 14, power had been restored to 538,790 customers, while 13,892 customers were still without power.
