Inspecting the organization of the traditional festival commemorating the 157th anniversary of the sacrifice of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc

Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Trung Ho delivered concluding remarks at the meeting.

Up to now, the Department of Culture and Sports of An Giang province has developed a detailed script and designed a stage layout for the opening program, a ceremony ground for the incense offering ceremony; and organized the hanging of banners, flags, and propaganda billboards on the streets of Rach Gia ward.

Along with that, the department coordinates with mass media agencies to disseminate information, promote and introduce activities within the framework of the festival on websites, electronic information portals, grassroots information systems, radio and television waves, and An Giang newspapers before, during and after the festival.

The police and military forces have developed plans to ensure security, order, traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting before, during and after the festival, organize traffic regulation and diversion in the central area and some locations of Rach Gia ward; check and control the market, ensure prices and service quality in the festival area.

The Department of Health has implemented a plan to inspect and test food samples and domestic water sources to ensure food safety and hygiene, and to prevent food poisoning during the festival.

Rach Gia Ward carries out street beautification, urban works, environmental sanitation; mobilizes and organizes hanging of lanterns during festival days; guides relic sites on opening and closing times to serve the people.

The Department of Tourism has sent a document to tourism businesses in Rach Gia ward to ensure facilities and services during the festival; travel agencies focus on designing tours associated with visiting and experiencing festival activities.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Trung Ho commended and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and initiative of the departments and the People's Committee of Rach Gia Ward in implementing the festival preparations. Up to this point, all preparations for the festival have been basically ensured.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that from now until the official festival day, departments, branches, and Rach Gia Ward People's Committee continue to review work contents to ensure careful and strict preparation, and guide and create conditions for each delegate to attend the festival with a joyful and excited spirit.

Comrade Le Trung Ho emphasized that the festival is an opportunity for the Party Committee, Government and People of An Giang province to remember and pay tribute to the merits of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc, associated with preserving and promoting traditional patriotic values; especially educating the younger generation about national pride and patriotism through the shining example of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc. Therefore, each member of the organizing committee upholds the spirit of responsibility, solidarity, sharing and coordination to successfully organize this year's festival.

The Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee requested the festival and logistics subcommittee to ensure full and good preparation for the conditions for live broadcasting of the festival; strengthen security and order, fire prevention and fighting, and traffic regulation before, during and after the festival.

The Department of Construction coordinated with the People's Committee of Rach Gia Ward to review the lighting system and public sanitation, mobilize people and public offices to clean up the environment, create a clean and airy environment, and ensure urban beauty...
