Promoting the role of the Fatherland Front in Tri Ton mountainous area

Promoting the role of a bridge between the government and the people, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tri Ton commune has organized many activities, diversified forms of mobilization, contributing to the successful implementation of local socio-economic development goals.

Many encouraging results

In recent times, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tri Ton commune has focused on promoting propaganda, mobilization, gathering people of all walks of life, promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc; improving the quality and effectiveness of social supervision and criticism, promoting democracy, participating in building the Party, the State and the political system... The work of mobilizing people of all walks of life to carry out patriotic emulation campaigns and movements has brought about practical results. Notably in the emulation movement "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses", the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tri Ton commune has mobilized the construction of 318 new houses, with a total cost of more than 19 billion VND.

Mr. Le Minh, residing in Tri Ton commune, said that his family has 6 members. He is a bricklayer, his wife is a small trader, and his children are of school age, so life is difficult. The house has been degraded for a long time but he cannot afford to repair or rebuild it. Mr. Minh is extremely happy to receive support to rebuild the house. “This is a miracle for my family. The house is not only a warm home but also a solid spiritual support, helping the family continue to strive to work, produce, and escape poverty,” Mr. Minh confided.

The most obvious change can be seen in Bang Ro hamlet. Previously, the hamlet's traffic infrastructure was not synchronous, the roads were degraded, and there was a lack of lighting systems, so people's travel encountered many obstacles. Based on the above reality, the Bang Ro hamlet Front Committee advised the hamlet Party Cell, in conjunction with the abbot of Bang Ro pagoda, to organize propaganda and mobilize the people; organize meetings to ask for opinions to jointly build roads and carry out lighting projects.

Head of the Front Committee of Bang Ro Hamlet, Chau Buth, said that through propaganda and mobilization, local people proactively donated more than 1,000 square meters of land to widen the concrete road, costing about 580 million VND; built a 310-meter embankment and a drainage system, costing more than 131 million VND; implemented the model of "Lighting up the village" using solar-powered lamps from group 4 to group 10, 1,200 meters long, costing more than 17 million VND. Thanks to that, people's travel and transportation of goods are more convenient.

Innovation in operating methods

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tri Ton commune has also implemented many models with practical meanings such as: "Light up the village, the village", "Love rice jar" movement, "Youth to establish a career, youth to live beautifully, live with ideals"... The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tri Ton commune has also mobilized a fund for the poor of more than 8 billion VND; donated nearly 12,900 gifts to people to celebrate spring and Tet, with a total value of more than 4 billion VND. Every year, mobilize and coordinate to organize gift giving for poor students, students with difficult circumstances who overcome difficulties to study well; support provinces affected by storms and floods with an amount of nearly 87 million VND... contributing to the good implementation of local social security work.

After the merger, Tri Ton commune has an important strategic position in terms of national defense, security and socio -economic development in the southwestern border region. The area is located on the traffic axis connecting with the economic and cultural centers of the province such as Long Xuyen Ward, Chau Doc Ward, Tinh Bien and Ha Tien International Border Gate areas, with favorable conditions for developing border trade, agricultural trade and eco-tourism...

At the same time, the advantage of semi-mountainous terrain with a system of hills and mountains, especially the Seven Mountains area, not only creates conditions for the development of spiritual and ecological tourism but also fits the orientation of developing specialty agriculture and organic agriculture associated with the conservation of forest resources and natural landscapes. In addition, the relatively large source of production land, stable population, diverse ethnic structure... are favorable factors for the development of community economic models, agricultural cooperatives, traditional occupations and household economy in a sustainable direction.

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tri Ton Commune Nguyen Hoai An said that in the coming time, the Commune Front will continue to innovate the content and methods of operation; diversify forms of propaganda, mobilization, gathering, and firmly consolidate the great national unity bloc. In addition, it will strengthen consensus, promote democracy, and perform well the representative function, protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people. Continue to improve the quality and effectiveness of social supervision and criticism, participate in the fight against corruption, waste, and negativity, and actively contribute ideas to building the Party and building a strong government.
