Members of the Golden Lotus Folk Art Club of Phu Quoc Island
The event aims to preserve and promote traditional cultural values, contributing to enriching the spiritual life of the people on the country's first tourist island. The ceremony took place in a solemn and exciting atmosphere, blending in the joy of welcoming the country's important events, especially the success of the 1st An Giang Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, and towards the international event APEC 2027 held in Phu Quoc Special Zone.
Attending the program were representatives of An Giang Provincial Cultural and Arts Center, Phu Quoc Special Zone Cultural and Social Department, Propaganda Department, Mass Mobilization Department, Military Region 9 Command, Brigade 950, Vietnam Music Institute, along with many artists, journalists and folk song and folk art clubs in the Southern region.

Speaking at the ceremony, artist Tran Thi Bich Duyen, Head of the Golden Lotus Folk Art Club of Ngoc Island, expressed her emotion and pride when the Club was officially established and operated under the management of the Phu Quoc Culture - Sports and Broadcasting Center.
“I am very proud and understand the great role, position and responsibility of the Club in preserving and promoting the value of national folk art – especially in remote islands. We promise to strive to complete the assigned tasks well, contributing to spreading the love of folk art to the community,” – artist Tran Thi Bich Duyen shared.
In more than three years of independent operation, the Club has grown from a few initial members to more than 40 members, achieving many remarkable achievements at festivals and folk art performances in and outside the province. Many individuals of the Club have received certificates of merit from the Vietnam Music Development Center, the Ministry of National Defense, and awards at the National Cheo Festival.

The launching ceremony was also an opportunity for a special artistic exchange between the Golden Lotus Club of Pearl Island and other clubs from Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Lam Dong, Rach Gia, etc. Many attractive performances were performed such as "Come back to Pearl Island with me", "Guests come to play at home", "Duyen tham trau cau", "Hoa xoan dem hoi", "Co doi thuong ngan", imbued with the folk song identity of the regions, receiving enthusiastic cheers from the audience.
In his congratulatory speech, Composer - Journalist Mai Van Lang, Head of the Folk Song and Traditional Music Department, Voice of Vietnam, acknowledged the Club's efforts in maintaining and spreading the value of folk art in the island region. He affirmed: "The establishment of the Golden Lotus Folk Art Club of Ngoc Island in Phu Quoc is a vivid demonstration of the enduring vitality of national culture in the integration period."
At the end of the program, the Organizing Committee presented the decision to complete the Club's Board of Directors, presented flowers and souvenirs to sponsors, other clubs and individuals who have made many contributions to the folk art movement.
The launching ceremony of the Golden Lotus Folk Art Club of Phu Quoc Pearl Island not only marks a new development step of the local mass cultural and artistic movement, but also contributes to preserving and promoting Vietnamese cultural identity in the heart of the island - a place expected to become a center of international cultural exchange in the future.
