85 years ago, on September 27, 1940, under the leadership of the Party, the people of all ethnic groups in Bac Son rose up together, took up arms to drive out the French colonialists and Japanese fascists, opening the climax of the armed struggle for national liberation in Indochina.
The Bac Son Uprising was not only a local historical event but also had profound significance for the Vietnamese people. This was the opening shot for the armed struggle movement under the leadership of the Party, proving that our people were capable of fighting for independence. At the same time, it affirmed the correct revolutionary line of the Party, combining political and armed struggle, between the worker-peasant force and ethnic minorities. The Bac Son Uprising aroused the fighting spirit of the entire nation, becoming a torch to light the way for future uprisings.
From the victory of the Bac Son uprising, the Bac Son Guerrilla Team was established and became one of the first revolutionary armed forces of our Party. The birth of the Bac Son Guerrilla Team and the establishment of the Bac Son - Vo Nhai base really became the core for promoting the revolutionary movement of the whole country.
Promoting the heroic revolutionary tradition, over the past 85 years, the Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups in Bac Son have united, overcome difficulties, and achieved many important achievements in all fields.
Implementing the policy of rearranging administrative units at all levels and building a 2-level local government organization model, from July 1, the administrative unit of Bac Son district officially ended. At the same time, 6 new commune-level administrative units were established, including Bac Son, Tan Tri, Vu Le, Nhat Hoa, Vu Lang, and Hung Vu. Since then, the Party Committees of 6 communes have urgently completed the organization of the political system, ensuring that the new commune government apparatus operates stably and smoothly.
At the program, Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem, Secretary of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee, congratulated and commended the achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of the 6 ethnic groups in Bac Son region in recent times.
The Provincial Party Secretary requested that communes continue to strengthen Party building, build a clean and strong political system, build a team of exemplary cadres and Party members to meet task requirements, streamline the organization, operate effectively and efficiently, be close to the people, and serve the people better.
Focus on propaganda and education for cadres, party members and people of all walks of life about the tradition of the revolutionary homeland, patriotism, self-reliance, and steadfastness in the Party's goals and ideals. Effectively exploit the potentials and advantages of economic development, strongly develop trade and services, promote start-ups, create jobs, and improve people's lives.
Promote the development of ecotourism by exploiting natural potentials with the preservation of national cultural identity and the protection of the ecological environment, focusing on the development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation. Continue to mobilize resources for the development of the health sector, fully and promptly implement policies to ensure social security, synchronously develop the fields of culture and sports, and improve the quality of cultural and spiritual life of the people.
