Lam Dong holds its first cross-terrain horse racing competition

Crowds of people eagerly came to the Thien Ma Madagui horse and dog racing track to watch the competition of 20 horses, in the first cross-terrain equestrian race held in Lam Dong province.

On August 16, at the Thien Ma Madagui horse racing track (Da Huoai commune, Lam Dong province), the 2025 cross-terrain horse riding competition took place. This is the first amateur horse riding competition held in Lam Dong, organized by Thien Ma - Madagui Horse Racing Joint Stock Company, with a total prize of up to 1.5 billion VND.

The program is open to the public and visitors to watch live on the Cross-Country race track. Viewers enjoy watching the competition of 20 athletes and 20 horses from 9 domestic equestrian clubs such as: Hanoi Horse Club, Happy Ranch Club, Red Lion Club; Germ Garden Club, Truong Linh Club, Lang Biang Club, Hong Lam - Madagui Club, Tin Max Horse Club and PTS Viet Tri Horse Club.

The teams compete in a cross-country race with a total length of 1.8 km. When the starting signal is sounded, the racehorses quickly accelerate to compete. The driver sits on the saddled horse, has foot pedals, skillfully controls the reins to make the horse run very fast.

The organizers said that this tournament also aims to prepare resources in terms of athletes and logistics for the Vietnamese equestrian sport to participate in the 33rd SEA Games. At the same time, it will launch a movement of equestrian sports, aiming to form a new model of sports and entertainment; attracting and serving tourists at the attractive target destination of Madagui in the future.
