First time organizing a race to discover the beauty of Dam Vac Vinh Yen

(Dan Tri) - The 2024 cross-country race to discover the beauty of Dam Vac Vinh Yen ( Vinh Phuc ) will take place on the morning of December 8 with the participation of nearly 2,000 athletes.

The People's Committee of Vinh Yen city (Vinh Phuc province) has just held a meeting to deploy the task of organizing the Cross-Country Race to discover the beauty of Dam Vac Vinh Yen. This is one of a series of activities to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Vinh Yen city (December 29, 1899 - December 29, 2024).

The first large-scale cross-country race was held in Vinh Yen city, starting on the morning of December 8 with the participation of nearly 2,000 athletes from provinces and cities across the country. The running distances included 5km, 10km and 21km.

Mr. Hoang Dinh Thuat, Vice Chairman of Vinh Yen City People's Committee, requested departments, units and localities to focus on implementing assigned tasks and promptly report difficulties and problems.

Mr. Thuat assigned the City Center for Culture, Information and Communication to effectively carry out propaganda work on mass media and social networking platforms with attractive forms and contents to spread the race. Thereby introducing and promoting the cultural values, people, images and beauty of Vinh Yen city with 125 years of construction and development...

Vinh Yen City Police are responsible for advising and asking for instructions from superiors on road closures, ensuring security, order, traffic safety, and traffic flow on race routes.

According to the plan, Vinh Yen will organize 10 booths displaying typical OCOP products of the city and Vinh Phuc province, to introduce and promote to athletes, fans and tourists from all over the country to participate in the race.

Vinh Yen city leaders assigned Khai Quang ward and Dong Da ward (where the running route is located) to coordinate well to maintain order on the roads and arrange reasonable parking spots.
