- On October 17, in Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China , the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) officially announced the results of the "Best Tourism Villages 2025" award. In this year's list of honorees, Quynh Son Community Tourism Village, Bac Son Commune, Lang Son Province (Vietnam) was honored to be recognized as one of the most typical community tourism villages in the world , after surpassing more than 270 applications from 65 countries.

The “Best Tourist Village” Award, initiated by UN Tourism, is a global initiative to honor rural destinations with outstanding achievements in preserving culture and nature, developing sustainable tourism and improving livelihoods for the community. The title is selected based on a strict system of criteria on governance, creativity, sustainability, environment and contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, becoming an international standard for high-quality community tourism models.

In recent years, Lang Son province has focused on building the brand of Quynh Son Community Tourism Village, Bac Son commune as a community tourism destination developing in a green and sustainable direction. In early 2025, the Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion selected Quynh Son Community Tourism Village as a candidate for the 3rd "Best Tourist Village" award of the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism). The Center reviewed the criteria, conducted surveys, collected information, images, recorded video clips and built a detailed application dossier in English (53 pages long) along with other supporting documents. This dossier was completed and submitted to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism for appraisal on May 13, 2025 (according to Official Dispatch No. 245/TTXTDL). By June 12, 2025, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism had selected and registered Quynh Son Community Tourism Village to participate in the nomination for the "Best Tourist Village of 2025" Award (according to Official Dispatch No. 1196/CDLQGVN-QHQT&XTDL).

The fact that Quynh Son Community Tourism Village, Bac Son Commune, Lang Son Province was honored by UN Tourism and attended the annual meeting of the Best Tourism Village Network in Ho Chau City, Zhejiang Province is a testament to the dynamic, comprehensive and sustainable development of Lang Son tourism. The event not only honored the community's efforts in preserving culture, conserving resources and developing sustainable livelihoods, but also spread Vietnam's successful community tourism model to the world, opening up opportunities for cooperation, promotion and attracting new investment for the province's tourism industry.
