Quietly spreading fragrance to life

As a woman born and raised in the poor countryside of Quang Nam, Ms. Tuyet was imbued with the spirit of sharing early on. Although busy with administrative work, she always took the time to follow and promptly appear when difficult situations needed help.

Although she did not wear a volunteer shirt, she herself - with all her heart, with rare sincerity - became a silent but persistent fire-spreader in the community. She was the one behind the calls on social networks, the one who devoted herself to collecting each set of clothes, milk carton, book, pencil case to bring to the needy children in the highlands; sending the hearts of benefactors and gifts to those in difficult circumstances.

Every year, dozens of difficult circumstances, sudden illnesses, natural disasters and floods are quietly called upon and mobilized for support by Ms. Tuyet. She is not only a bridge, but also a person who inspires the spirit of compassion in the hearts of many people. Beneath the emotional posts calling for support, there is a generous heart that is not selfish or calculating. It is the compassion of a woman who always puts the pain of others above her own troubles.

Not only supporting sudden difficult circumstances or sick cases, volunteer trips to the highlands for children, Ms. Tuyet also maintains calling for and regularly supporting charity lunches for patients at Nong Son District Medical Center on the 9th and 23rd of the lunar calendar every month. Each meal not only brings a warm lunch to the patients being treated here but is also full of love as it is a bridge for many people to join hands to support and help patients in difficulty.

Spread silently

No noise, no need for any title for these activities, what Ms. Tuyet does all comes from the heart of wanting to spread love. The trips carrying donated items to the highlands have become familiar to many volunteer groups in the area.

She considers herself to be just a "love connector", a bridge between the heart of the giver and the pain of the receiver. What Ms. Tuyet hopes most is that no one is left behind, especially in the weakest moments. It is this spirit that makes her become the "sower" of many charitable activities, bringing together volunteer hearts to create many meaningful trips.

Ms. Tuyet shared: "Seeing with my own eyes the very difficult circumstances of old age living alone, saving a small amount of monthly allowance to buy rice to eat or seeing children in the highlands still lacking books when the school year is approaching, I just wish I could support them immediately so they can have a 'lifebuoy' to continue swimming. Sometimes when I hear a call for help for a difficult situation, I can't hold back my tears, no matter how dark or rainy the night, I rush there immediately to be able to support them in time...".

Every day, Ms. Tuyet still works at the commune office, still a diligent civil servant with books and records. Outside of office hours, Ms. Tuyet "transforms" into a friend of disadvantaged circumstances, acting as a bridge between kind hearts.

In the eyes of many people, Ms. Tuyet is the embodiment of a flower quietly spreading its fragrance in everyday life. She does not need a title, it is her bright heart and love for people that make her a true light-bearer.
