In particular, implementing the movement "Eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", under the direction of the Provincial Party Secretary and the coordination of the Provincial People's Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee organized a ceremony to launch the movement, calling on the whole society to join hands to support the poor to "settle down and have a career" with the motto "Whoever has something helps, whoever has money helps money, whoever has merit helps merit". After a short time, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee mobilized more than 72 billion VND from organizations, businesses, banks, individuals, along with thousands of working days , construction materials... with a total value of more than 45 billion VND. From this resource, along with the state budget, the whole province has eliminated 2,971 temporary and dilapidated houses, 6 months ahead of the Central's schedule.
Having lived in a dilapidated temporary house, now the family of Ms. Cao Thi Thu (Raglai ethnic group, in Suoi Thom village, Bac Khanh Vinh commune) has a solid, spacious home thanks to the support from the movement "Eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses". The newly built house has an area of about 40m2 , with a total cost of more than 100 million VND; of which 60 million VND is supported by the movement, the rest is from the family's counterpart. Ms. Thu emotionally said: "Thanks to the support to build a new house, my family no longer has to worry about leaking rain and hot sun. That help not only brings a warm home, but also adds confidence and motivation for my family to try to do business and improve in life. Thank you for the attention of the Party, State and community for people in difficult circumstances like my family".
In the period of 2021 - 2022, when the Covid-19 epidemic affected people's lives, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee promptly launched, called for support, and mobilized more than 154 billion VND and thousands of tons of necessities, medical supplies, and equipment to prevent and fight the epidemic. Thanks to that, tens of thousands of households were supported promptly.
Sow trust with kindness
In recent times, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has focused on replicating sustainable poverty reduction models, encouraging people to get rich legitimately, and unite to help each other develop the economy . Up to now, the Fatherland Front at all levels has deployed more than 2,500 "Smart Mass Mobilization" models, including more than 350 models supporting livelihoods, linking agricultural production chains such as: Growing grapes, garlic, asparagus, durian, crops; raising black pigs; charity rice jars, raising savings piggy banks... helping thousands of households increase their income, contributing to reducing the annual poverty rate to 1.09%.
A typical example is the model "Mobilizing People to develop the economy to reduce poverty in Lo Gia ethnic minority area" in Suoi Hiep commune. Based on the State's support programs and on the basis of the Resolution of the Commune Party Committee on the economic development program for Lo Gia ethnic minority people, the Front and the commune's socio-political organizations have assigned each organization to be in charge of 10 households. From there, the members actively go to each house to propagate and mobilize people to take care of the hill garden, intercrop short-term crops to get short-term income to support long-term income. At the same time, mobilize, support and guide people on how to effectively cultivate wet rice. Or the model "Rice from the heart" in village 5 (Dien Lam commune) with the participation of 22 members including the Front Working Committee, branches, organizations and people in the village. Every month, each member contributes 60,000 VND to the fund. In addition, the members also mobilize benefactors and philanthropists to participate in supporting. From the money earned, members buy rice and instant noodles to distribute to poor households, those in difficult circumstances, single people or those with special unexpected risks...
According to comrade Tran Thu Mai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the effectiveness of the movement is not only measured by the amount of money mobilized or the number of newly built houses, but more importantly, the trust and consensus of the people. After the merger of the province, through a preliminary review, the whole province still has more than 9,300 poor households, 16,300 near-poor households and thousands of households with difficulties in housing and livelihoods, in great need of joint support to rise up and escape poverty sustainably. In the coming time, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee will continue to promote the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind" with many specific and practical solutions. In particular, innovating propaganda work, diversifying social resources, applying digital transformation to publicize and make transparent the reception and allocation of support; Coordinate the effective implementation of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the 2026-2031 period, build a digital database on poor households and households in especially difficult circumstances to avoid overlap and loss of mobilization resources.
Along with that, the Front will strengthen the supervision of the implementation of poverty reduction policies, organize the "People's Voice Forum" to listen and promptly support the right needs and subjects; promote the spirit of solidarity and humanity in the community, replicate self-management models, help each other develop the economy, aim at sustainable poverty reduction, and build prosperous and happy residential areas.
