On the morning of February 14, Mr. Pham Tien Hung - Vice Chairman of Buon Ma Thuot City People's Committee - said that he would set up a team to conduct surprise inspections of illegal dental and beauty salons.

According to Mr. Hung, in recent years the city has been determined to inspect and handle unlicensed cosmetic and dental facilities. But after banning and suspending them in one place, they secretly open in another.

After receiving information reflected on Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Hung said he had directed the Health Department and related units to make plans to suddenly inspect the facilities that had been "named".

Other places with signs of violations reported by people will also be inspected.

"When there is information reflected from public opinion, media agencies and people, if there are signs of violations, it must be checked and handled. This time, the city will take drastic measures and handle them strictly," Mr. Hung affirmed.

Meanwhile, Ms. Le Thi Chau - Chief Inspector of the Dak Lak Province Department of Health - also said that she had received information from Tuoi Tre Online about illegal dental clinics and beauty salons that had been suspended but still re-offended.

Next week, the department will invite establishments with signs of violations to work, rectify, require them to sign a commitment not to repeat the offense, and notify the local authorities for monitoring. "If dental and beauty salon establishments continue to not comply and deliberately operate illegally, we will take strict action," said Ms. Chau.

As reported, many cosmetic and dental clinics in Buon Ma Thuot City that were once suspended are still openly operating "illegally".

These facilities were fined and suspended from operation for 4.5 to 22.5 months by the Dak Lak Department of Health to correct the violations, but many places continued to open and operate, even in some cases "changing their names" and continuing to operate without a license.
