From October 10 to 12, at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Heritage Center (Hanoi), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Hanoi People's Committee organized the first World Cultural Festival in Hanoi.
The event is positioned as a key cultural and diplomatic activity, with the goal of honoring the value of cultural diversity and enhancing friendship and people-to-people exchange between Vietnam and international friends.

The festival is designed with a rich series of activities, taking place throughout 3 days, giving the public multi-sensory experiences.
The opening ceremony on the evening of October 10 and the closing ceremony on the evening of October 12 will be a "feast" of sound and light. With the participation of famous Vietnamese artists such as Tung Duong, Hoa Minzy, Truc Nhan, Hoang Thuy Linh... and many international artists, the programs promise to bring unique art performances, harmoniously combining tradition and modernity.
The technological highlight is the magnificent 3D Mapping display, turning the Imperial Citadel into a 3D stage, conveying the message "Culture is the bridge of humanity, creativity is the common language of the world ".
In addition, the Heritage Steps fashion show introduced nearly 100 traditional costumes from participating countries, creating the richest and most spectacular international national costume performance ever in Vietnam.
On October 11 and 12, the Cultural Road program will open a multi-national journey of discovery. Visitors can visit nearly 50 cultural spaces of China, Korea, Japan, the United States, Russia, France, Iran, Angola, the Philippines... to learn about history, art, language and unique customs. In particular, visitors also have the opportunity to wear traditional costumes of Vietnam and other countries, capturing memorable moments of exchange.
During the festival, international film screenings will be continuously served to the audience at the Imperial Hall. Along with that, the round stage will be where Vietnamese and international art troupes will perform special acts such as Central Highlands Gong, Bac Ninh Quan Ho, Cheo, Chau Van along with traditional dances and music from Japan, Russia, Cuba, Mongolia, Indonesia...
The Food Street opens from October 11-12, 2025, where visitors can explore multinational cuisine and participate in culinary workshops to learn about signature dishes of many different cultures.
The Indian delegation will bring to the first World Cultural Festival in Hanoi dishes such as Chicken Galouti Kebab and Butter Chicken.
The festival marked a record number of participating representative agencies, demonstrating the strong attraction of Hanoi, a center of cultural convergence, where civilizations meet and spread noble human values.
According to the Organizing Committee, for 3 days, from October 10 to 12, 2025, Thang Long Imperial Citadel will become the "common home" of the world, where music, colors, flavors and emotions blend in an atmosphere of friendship and solidarity. With the motto "Culture is the foundation - Art is the means", the first World Cultural Festival in Hanoi is not only a large-scale cultural event, but also a typical cultural diplomacy activity of Vietnam in 2025, aiming to become an annual event of international stature.
The festival is a place to gather the quintessence, spread identity, connect 5 continents in the heart of the thousand-year-old capital, contribute to connecting countries, promote people-to-people exchanges, enhance understanding and mutual trust between Vietnam and the international community. At the same time, affirm the important role and contribution of culture in implementing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), towards peace, cooperation and common prosperity.
