The 10th People's Artist and Meritorious Artist title award ceremony honors the role of artists in contributing to the development of culture and arts.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister Nguyen Van Hung affirmed that the ceremony to award the title of People's Artist and Meritorious Artist has been organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism 9 times. "Although we have experience in organizing, we are not subjective, ensuring that the ceremony to award the title is organized solemnly, in accordance with the protocol and rich in cultural values ​​and spirit" - the Minister shared.

Minister Nguyen Van Hung chaired a meeting to review the organization of the 10th People's Artist and Meritorious Artist Title Award Ceremony.

According to the Minister, recently, Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy has proactively worked with ministries and branches on coordinating the organization of the People's Artist and Meritorious Artist Awarding Ceremony. At the same time, the units have also proactively and actively deployed synchronous preparations for the People's Artist and Meritorious Artist Awarding Ceremony. The Minister requested that the units report on the progress of performing tasks according to the assigned work, and report any remaining problems to the Ministry's leaders for resolution.

Reporting at the meeting, Head of the Department of Organization and Personnel Le Duc Trung said: Up to now, preparations for the awarding ceremony have been basically completed; assigned units have actively and proactively implemented the tasks, ensuring that the ceremony to award the noble titles of the Party and State to artists will take place solemnly and meaningfully.

Previously, to prepare for the ceremony to award the titles of People's Artist and Meritorious Artist, the Department of Personnel Organization sent an Official Dispatch to the Office of the President reporting on the plan to organize the awarding ceremony; draft documents for the awarding ceremony including a detailed script for the awarding ceremony; MC script for the awarding ceremony; script for the execution of the awarding ceremony; draft summary report summarizing the work of awarding the titles of People's Artist and Meritorious Artist. A detailed list of guests attending the awarding ceremony was made according to the plan; a seating chart for Party and State leaders, delegates, and guests was developed.

"The Department of Personnel Organization has coordinated with the Ministry Office, relevant departments and divisions to prepare reception and celebration plans to ensure solemnity and scientific preparation," said Mr. Le Duc Trung.

At the meeting, Mr. Tran Huong Duong, Deputy Director of the Department of Performing Arts, reported to the Minister on the completion of the script and rehearsal for the art program to welcome the award ceremony. The art program ensures political and artistic values, honoring artists who have contributed to the development of the country's culture and art.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Chuong, Director of the Vietnam Culture and Arts Exhibition Center, also reported at the meeting that the Center has completed 100% of the portraits of the artists awarded the title of People's Artist and Meritorious Artist for the 10th time to display at the Opera House.

Reporting at the meeting, Ms. Ly Phuong Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Cinema, also said: the slideshow introducing portraits of artists and late artists and the clip to be played at the award ceremony has been completed and carefully reviewed to ensure there are no errors.

Concluding the working session, Minister Nguyen Van Hung affirmed that the Party and State leaders set out the problem of organizing the title awarding ceremony to ensure the ritual and most importantly, thereby honoring the title, encouraging the artists, creating new impulses and motivations.

Therefore, Minister Nguyen Van Hung is concerned about the organization of the 10th People's Artist and Meritorious Artist Awarding Ceremony, which must have innovations. "The People's Artist and Meritorious Artist Awarding Ceremony must maintain its solemnity and dignity, but it needs to be innovated. The first new point is the art program performed by the artists honored on this occasion. Through art, through art, the role of artists in contributing to the development of culture and art is clarified. At the same time, displaying portraits of artists, projecting portraits of artists when they receive the title, these are seemingly very small things, but they make artists see the respect that the State and the People have for them" - Minister Nguyen Van Hung affirmed.

Commending and recognizing the initiative and understanding of the leadership of the Party, State, and Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for the ceremony to award the titles of People's Artist and Meritorious Artist to the implementing units, the Minister assigned the Department of Organization and Personnel to be the focal point, coordinating with the Ministry's Office and the Opera House to have a plan to coordinate with the locality, ensuring traffic flow and avoiding chaos in the space outside the Opera House.

The Minister requested that, after the meeting, the Department of Personnel Organization, under the Minister's order, sign a document to send to the Departments and the Association of Literature and Arts to inform the artists to proactively choose their accommodation, and at the same time be public and transparent about the implementation of the regime for artists. After the awarding ceremony, any Department or Association that has not paid the artist must take responsibility" - the Minister emphasized.

The Minister requested the Ministry's media agencies to strengthen propaganda and proactively inform about the Award Ceremony, creating an exciting and joyful atmosphere at the beginning of the new spring, highlighting the meaning of honoring artists with many contributions.

The 10th People's Artist and Meritorious Artist Awarding Ceremony will take place on the morning of March 6 at the Hanoi Opera House. There will be 389 artists, including 125 People's Artists and 264 Meritorious Artists receiving the title on this occasion. The awarding ceremony will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television.
