Besides Eletre, Emira, the high-performance sedan model - Lotus Emeya of the British brand is likely to be distributed in Vietnam. Emeya is positioned as a direct competitor to Tesla Model S, Porsche Taycan and Lucid Air. Accordingly, Lotus Emeya is considered the spiritual successor of Lotus Carlton - the legendary 4-door car that stopped production in 1992. This is also the second sedan model in the history of the British car company, but completely electric.
The Emeya has an Eletre-inspired front end with sporty air intakes, hidden door handles and a contrasting black roof. The rear end is impressive with an extended LED strip, side air vents reminiscent of the Bugatti Chiron, and an active spoiler that can generate up to 249 kg of downforce. The car has many details refined to increase aerodynamics such as: air-flow regulating grille, rear diffuser and spoiler, helping to improve stability at high speeds. The car has an electronic air suspension system that can adjust more than 1,000 times/second, combined with high-performance brakes inspired by racing cars. The Lotus Emeya's cabin features a 55-inch central display screen that displays safety information, operating data, and real-time blind spot warnings. The 3D audio system comes with active noise cancellation, combining sensors and algorithms to filter out noise from tires and the road surface.
Lotus focuses on sustainable materials, so the details on the car are made from Nappa leather, carbon fiber and luxury thread recycled from cotton waste from the fashion industry, contributing to reducing carbon emissions. The Lotus Emeya electric sedan has 34 driving assistance sensors, including four LiDARs and two 4D millimeter wave radars. It supports smart highway driving and automatic parking. Powering the Lotus Emeya are two electric motors, with the front motor producing a maximum output of 302 horsepower and the rear motor producing a maximum output of 603 horsepower. The car accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 2.78 seconds and can reach a top speed of 256 km/h.
This model is equipped with a 102kWh battery pack, combined with a two-speed gearbox, the driving range according to the test cycle of China's CLTC can reach 600 km. In the Chinese market, Lotus Emeya is sold in 4 versions with prices ranging from 668,000 - 1,180,000 NDT (about 2.4 - 4.36 billion VND).
