
According to the official dispatch of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism sent to ministries, branches, political organizations, socio-political organizations at the central level and People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities, by the end of 2024, the whole country had 327 national treasures recognized by the Prime Minister, currently being protected, displayed and promoting their values at museums, relic management boards, archives centers, as well as at a number of organizations and individuals.
In 2025, in order to continue to identify and select particularly rare and valuable artifacts, typical of the country's history, culture and science , the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests agencies and units to base on the provisions in Clause 1 and Point a, Clause 2, Article 44 of the 2024 Law on Cultural Heritage to direct the selection and preparation of scientific dossiers of artifacts to propose recognition as national treasures.
The dossier and request documents must be sent to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism before November 26, 2025 for the Minister to review and submit to the Prime Minister for decision.
