The Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) said that commercial electricity output in September 2025 reached 9.4 billion kWh, up 15.65% over the same period, and accumulated in 9 months reached 80.05 billion kWh, up 7.24%, equivalent to 73.5% of the yearly plan (108.9 billion kWh).

In the first 9 months of 2025, although the North was continuously affected by major storms such as Wipha (storm No. 3), Kaijji (storm No. 5) and Bualoi (storm No. 10), Despite heavy damage to the power system, EVNNPC still fully completed the planning targets assigned by Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), ensuring safe and stable power supply, serving socio-economic development and people's lives in 17 provinces and cities.
The shock teams urgently responded and quickly overcame the consequences of natural disasters. restore power supply earliest for customers, while ensuring electricity for holidays, political events, major festivals and hot peaks.

Power loss remained low at 3.7%, down 0.09% year-on-year and 0.3% lower than planned. By the end of September 2025, 100% of communes and 99.59% of rural households in the region had access to the national grid, contributing to promoting socio-economic development in remote and isolated areas.
Implementing Directive No. 20/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on electricity saving, EVNNPC synchronously deployed energy saving solutions. The saved electricity output in September 2025 reached 207.46 million kWh, the accumulated output in 9 months reached 1,871.27 million kWh (accounting for 2.28% of commercial electricity), contributing to ensuring national energy security.
In the field of non-cash payments, the rate of customers making electronic payments reached 98.03%, up 7.8% over the same period and exceeding the plan by 3.03%; revenue through non-cash channels reached 99.7%. To date, 12/17 units have completed 100% of the elimination of cash counters, with only 1,022 remaining in particularly difficult areas of 5 mountainous provinces.
Despite unfavorable weather and construction conditions, EVNNPC still strives to overcome difficulties and focus on accelerating the progress of projects. In 9 months, the Corporation has energized 54 110kV projects and started 35 new projects, including many key projects contributing to improving power supply capacity, preventing overload and meeting the needs of socio-economic development in localities.

Regarding science and technology and digital transformation, EVNNPC is implementing 8 key projects including: GIS-based grid management tools, centralized data warehouse, data analysis toolkits for investment, technical, material and human resource management, and electricity planning and service management software.
At the same time, 6 automation tasks were strongly deployed such as remote monitoring of transformer stations, application of distribution management system (DMS) for medium voltage grid, application WHO in video surveillance, line temperature, digital substation development and power quality monitoring.
In the field of business and customer service, the Corporation focuses on 4 main tasks: upgrading the customer care system, applying barcodes to manage materials, converting meter reading data to remote reading and piloting advanced metering infrastructure (AMI). Regarding safety, implementing 3 outstanding tasks including: digitizing safety meeting minutes, developing safety quiz games and applying AI in field monitoring.
All activities are aimed at building modern digital infrastructure, optimizing operations, improving management capacity and providing professional, transparent and efficient electricity services.
In the fourth quarter of 2025, EVNNPC will continue to focus on comprehensively completing production and business targets, digital transformation and ensuring safe and stable power supply to serve important holidays and political and social events of the country and locality.
At the same time, the Corporation promotes digital transformation and innovation, accelerates GIS projects, centralized data warehouses, digitizes bidding and office work; organizes training on AI, data analysis and technology cooperation with large domestic corporations.
EVNNPC also encourages development rooftop solar power Self-production and self-consumption, supporting customers and businesses towards using green and sustainable energy.
