- On the afternoon of October 14, the Department of Health held a conference to review the first 9 months of the year and deploy key tasks for the last 3 months of 2025. The conference was connected online to the Provincial Center for Disease Control, 4 provincial hospitals and 10 regional medical centers.

According to the report, in the first 9 months of the year, the provincial health sector has proactively and actively advised on the work of protecting, caring for and improving people's health; synchronously deployed assigned tasks, completed 5/6 key tasks, achieved and exceeded 12/13 socio -economic development targets in the health sector in 2025. Typically: the total number of hospital beds reached 2,862 beds (target 1,790 beds); 34 hospital beds/10,000 people (target 34 hospital beds/10,000 people); the rate of people satisfied with health services reached 80% (target 80%)... Medical examination and treatment work was maintained stably with more than 900,000 visits at public facilities, reaching 93.7% of the 2025 plan.
Along with that, the work of population - family planning, food safety and hygiene, disease prevention and control, social protection and child care has been effectively implemented. The whole sector has effectively implemented the work of disease prevention and control, well controlled outbreaks of measles, dengue fever, and Japanese encephalitis; the rate of full vaccination for children under 1 year old reached 96.9%; the rate of pregnant women receiving enough doses as prescribed reached 93.2%.
At the conference, delegates from the units discussed and analyzed the difficulties in the process of reorganizing the apparatus and allocating funds after converting to a two-level local government model. Many opinions suggested that the Department of Health continue to research solutions to remove obstacles in health insurance payments; strengthen training and fostering human resources for commune-level levels; invest in facilities, and overcome damage caused by storms to ensure good conditions for medical examination and treatment.
Concluding the conference, the leaders of the Department of Health requested: In the last 3 months of the year, the functional departments and medical facilities under the Department of Health continue to focus on overcoming difficulties to complete the key targets and tasks of 2025; well implement Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW of the Politburo on strengthening the protection, care and improvement of people's health; proactively develop a work plan for 2026 and the period 2026 - 2030; promote digital transformation, connect medical examination and treatment data on the VNeID platform; ensure food safety, prevent and control epidemics, improve the quality of care and protection of people's health.
