A clinical study published by the National Institute of Nutrition in January this year has proven that daily use of "Nestlé MILO Barley Milk" combined with physical activities contributes to improving physical fitness components of primary school students after 3 months, not only the usual factors such as speed and strength, but also endurance.

This research has provided a practical solution to meet the wishes of the majority of Vietnamese mothers today. According to a recent survey by Kantar, up to 92% of mothers want to improve their children's endurance so that they have enough energy to complete all activities during the day. Endurance not only helps maintain children's excitement and enthusiasm but also enriches their experiences in their daily physical and mental activities.

To gradually improve children's endurance, nutrition is one of the two important factors, besides exercise. Nutrition does not mean just eating enough as commonly thought. Supplementing a certain group of nutrients without other groups of nutrients will lead to nutritional imbalance, negatively affecting children's physical strength and endurance.

Dr. Dang Ngoc Hung, Director of the Institute of Nutrition Research and Consulting, advised: "Parents need to build a healthy, diverse and balanced diet between groups of substances, especially carbohydrates and Vitamin B group to improve and enhance the body's endurance." One of the simple ways for parents to provide adequate nutrition for their children, according to the doctor, is to combine 1 box of nutritional milk with 3 meals a day.

Agreeing with this view, Dr. Do Thi Ngoc Diep, Vice President of the Vietnam Nutrition Association, emphasized that in addition to nutritional solutions, exercise solutions also help increase endurance effectively in young children. Depending on the age, there are different exercises suitable for the physical condition of the children. For example, children 2-5 years old need to exercise at least 180 minutes/day, while children over 5 years old need to exercise for at least 60 minutes a day at a moderate level or higher.

On motherhood forums recently, many parents have shared their journey of improving their children's endurance after applying scientific knowledge provided by the Institute of Nutrition and nutrition experts. Ms. Le Hong Hanh said that since adding a box of MILO milk to her child's daily diet to fuel her child's physical activities, she has seen her child's endurance improve significantly.

Many people believe that the appeal of audio-visual devices such as television, smartphones and social networks has made children increasingly reluctant to exercise. However, Nestlé MILO has taken advantage of the potential of technology to inspire children to increase their endurance. Nestlé MILO has introduced a complete set of 8 simple exercises on the website and Youtube so that children can practice at any time. Mothers can rely on their children's health status and goals to make the most appropriate choice. Last April, MILO launched the "More Endurance" challenge on Tiktok and the "7-day More Endurance challenge" on Zalo so that parents and children across the country can both practice endurance every day and have the opportunity to receive valuable gifts.

With diverse and practical activities, Nestlé MILO has created a multidimensional network of methods to nurture a generation of Vietnamese children who are more active and resilient every day, thereby helping children maximize their potential in the future.

Mothers and children can join the "More Enduring Challenge" on Tiktok at the link https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSFpUx5hV/ (from April 20) and join the "7-day More Enduring Challenge" on Zalo at the link https://zalo.me/s/3124194681467352875/ (from April 24 to June 16, 2024).
