Minimum score for admission to police schools in 2025

The Ministry of Public Security has just announced the minimum score for admission to public security academies and schools at 70 points. This score is calculated according to a separate formula, combining the high school graduation exam score and the Ministry of Public Security's competency assessment score.

Specifically, for the Medical major of the People's Public Security University of Technology and Logistics, candidates must achieve a total high school graduation exam score of 3 subjects in the combination of 20.5 (no coefficient, with priority points for subjects and priority points for regions), and at the same time achieve 20/100 points on the assessment test of the Ministry of Public Security in 2025.

The floor score of 70 is calculated according to the formula:

Floor score = (Total score of 3 graduation exam subjects) * 10/3 + Assessment test score of the Ministry of Public Security.

For the regular intermediate level, based on the high school graduation exam score, the minimum score is 10. This is the total score of three subjects without coefficients, without bonus points, without failing points (from 1 or below). The admission process for this system is independent of the university system of the 8 police schools.

For the remaining majors of the People's Public Security University of Engineering and Logistics and 7 schools including the People's Security Academy, the People's Police Academy, the People's Public Security Political Academy, the International Academy, the People's Security University, the People's Police University, and the Fire Prevention and Fighting University, the floor score is 70 or higher.

This is the total score of the 3 subjects of the 2025 high school graduation exam in the admission group (or the converted score of the international foreign language certificate) on a 100-point scale and the score of the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test on a 100-point scale, with no failing score according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Public Security.

In addition, the minimum score for the new regular intermediate level recruited from the 2025 high school graduation exam scores (no coefficient, no bonus points) of the 3 exam subjects in the admission combination to the People's Police Academy is 10 points.

In 2025, 8 police schools will recruit a total of about 2,350 new students. In addition to considering the combination of assessment scores and high school graduation exam results, this group of schools will use two other methods including direct admission and based on the assessment test results of the Ministry of Public Security combined with international foreign language certificates.
