(Dan Tri) - Using firecrackers, a 13-year-old male student in Nong Cong town, Nong Cong district, Thanh Hoa province suffered multiple injuries and a crushed hand.
On March 3, information from Thanh Hoa Provincial Children's Hospital said that doctors and nurses of the hospital provided emergency care and performed surgery on a male student in Nong Cong district who suffered multiple injuries due to firecracker explosions.
Doctor Bui Minh Hai, of the Trauma Department of the Children's Hospital, said that at 3:00 p.m. on March 2, the hospital received patient P.D.A. (born 2012) in a state of multiple injuries, with his left hand crushed.
"Upon admission, the patient had multiple injuries all over his body, his left hand was crushed and bandaged, and the bleeding was stopped. Examination showed that the face, neck, and chest had many wounds, burned gray, and had many foreign objects of sand and dirt stuck to them; the right forearm had many small, bleeding wounds; burned gray, and had many foreign objects of sand and dirt stuck to it; especially the lower third of the left hand's forearm was completely crushed...
Doctors and nurses at Thanh Hoa Children's Hospital treated the wounds, performed amputation surgery, and created a stump for the hand that could not be restored. After surgery, the patient's health is stable," Dr. Hai informed.
According to the leaders of the Children's Hospital, at noon on March 3, the family representative requested to transfer the patient to the central level for continued treatment.
