Consumer price index in 9 months increased by 2.81% over the same period last year

BAC NINH - According to data compiled from Bac Ninh Provincial Statistics, the average consumer price index in the past 9 months of the province increased by 2.81% over the same period last year.

The main reason for the increase in the consumer price index in the past 9 months was due to a number of commodity groups such as: Medicines and medical services increased by 11.12% over the same period last year due to the adjustment of medical examination and treatment prices according to the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council; food and catering services increased by 3.5% mainly due to the increase in pork and rice prices; other goods and services increased by 5.54% due to the increase in notary fees, insurance, personal items, etc.

The continuously rising price of pork is one of the factors causing the index of food and catering services to increase.

On the contrary, the transportation group decreased by 3.53% over the same period thanks to adjustments to reduce gasoline and oil prices.

Although the consumer price index for the first nine months has been under control, pressure on the price level in the final months of the year is still latent. Factors such as holidays, changing seasons or adverse weather conditions can cause local price increases for goods such as food, beverages and clothing.

To stabilize the market, departments, branches and localities must closely monitor market developments, promptly warn and take appropriate response measures, thereby ensuring supply and stabilizing prices of essential goods.
