Young man jumped on bus and beat driver in HCMC

(Dan Tri) - While the bus stopped to drop off passengers, a young man wearing a motorbike taxi uniform suddenly jumped on the bus and beat the male driver.

On March 23, social media users circulated a clip recording a bus driver being attacked while driving. Upon verification, the incident occurred at around 5:30 a.m. on March 22, on Highway 13, passing through Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the clip, while the bus stopped at a station on Highway 13 to drop off passengers, a young man wearing a motorbike taxi uniform suddenly climbed onto the bus. Here, the young man approached the driver's seat and repeatedly attacked the male driver with his hands and feet. Discovering the incident, a staff member on the bus came to stop him, but the young man left immediately after. The entire incident was recorded by the bus' security camera.

Speaking to Dan Tri reporter, representative of 19/5 Transport Cooperative said that the person attacked in the clip was driver THC (born 1972), driving bus number 19 on the Ben Thanh - Ho Chi Minh City National University route.

Thu Duc City authorities are verifying and clarifying the cause of the incident.
