Dubbed the 'Map of World Cuisine', Taste Atlas relied on the reviews of nearly 340,000 culinary experts and diners to select the most unique and famous shrimp delicacies.

Vietnamese spring rolls or fried spring rolls ranked 8th in the top 10, scoring 4.4 on a 5-point scale. International diners expressed their love for the dish "filled with minced pork and shrimp, wrapped in soft rice paper." This roll is deep-fried in a pan of oil, creating a golden color, a thin, crispy, light outer layer and a filling of aromatic vegetables, vermicelli, wood ear mushrooms, and shiitake mushrooms, according to Taste Atlas.

This is not the first time Vietnamese delicacies have been honored in the world media. Previously, in May, fried spring rolls were also included in the list of "100 best appetizers in the world" by Taste Atlas. Fried spring rolls were also in the top "50 best dishes in the world" voted by CNN. And in the list of "12 delicious Vietnamese dishes" in the Asian Cuisine Records 2012.

Taste Atlas said the rankings are only suggestive, promoting delicious dishes from destinations around the world, arousing diners' curiosity and people's pride in traditional dishes.

Founded in 2015 by a Croatian entrepreneur, the website connects with 9,000 local restaurants, introduces more than 10,000 dishes to readers, thousands of reviews and research by culinary experts and chefs. The website aims to become a world map of traditional dishes made from local ingredients.
